However, where this book shines is its amazing photography and snippets on special events and places such as Oktoberfest, Wine Tasting, and The Romantic Road. The pictorials are truly amazing.
Another great thing is that the book is broken up into Locales. If you only plan on visiting Munich for example. All you would need to do is check out the first chapter on basic German facts, Ch2 on Munich, and the last couple chapters on more German facts and traveler's tips. At the end of the Munich section(as well as every other location section), there is a section on where to eat and where to sleep. It gives a $,$$,$$$, or $$$$ based on the cost as well as Fodor's picks. It also breaks down these places to eat/sleep with purposes. For example, Hotels with the best View, Best Bar, Best Lobby, Best Location, etc.
I will be buying one of these for where ever I travel in the future.
