I just found this 2 CD set at a tag sale today. I just finished the first CD and am currently listening to the second one. This is a selection of nice mellow songs. If you lived through the 60's, you will recognize every one of these songs and will probably think back to the time when you used to hear them on the radio regularly. Amazon's price for this set is very good. Each disc contains 15 songs. That's a lot of music! Many of them are folk type songs but several of the artists were early rock singers: Bobby Darin, Dion, Linda Ronstadt, Otis Redding, The Mamas and the Papas. If you like mellow listening, I recommend this one.

I watched a folk music special on PBS and saw this album on that show. I went online to Amazon and found it and ordered it right away and it is really a great CD and just takes you back in time. I listened to this music when I was young and you don't find much folk on the radio, so I was really pleased and every song was great. If you like folk music you should buy this CD.

This is the second cd I have purchased from this Time Life offer. This is great music. I am looking forward to the next one. This cd did come with a broken case, however the cd's themselves were perfect.

This has to be one of the best CD's that I have purchased in a long time. I watched a special on PBS and all of these groups were on that showing. Although I was a young teenager back then, I still enjoyed listening to the "folk songs" and miss the type of music that was so prevalent at the time. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to go back to the old days when music could be understood and enjoyed.

I came of age listening to all the old folk songs in the 60's. This sure brought back some memories.

The music is fantastic. I gave 4 stars because when I tried to remove one of the cds from case, it cracked badly. Very disappointing. Not Amazon's fault but the jewel box design. I am super careful when removing cds from the "spindle" and have had it be difficult to remove before. I don't yank or do it quickly. I slowly and carefully try to remove. In this case it cracked the cd pretty badly. At least an inch and a half. Did not return as it was my fault more or less. Next time I will try breaking the tabs that hold the cd in. What a shame.

Other than that, the music is really great.
