Cassie’s writing is bright and quick. It didn’t take me long to read either story. I fell in love with Millie from book one almost instantly. She is the lost soul with so much potential and her life was destroyed by one tragic choice.
I struggled in connecting with the main characters in book two. I actually love the descriptions of the old house and the town. (They have an AWESOME coffee shop!) I wanted more time with Bettina’s coworkers, Charity and Amanda.
The only thing that bothered me (and I’ll admit I don’t read a lot of ghost romance stories) was the ghost sex. The characters connecting sexually made sense for the story, but how it happened and how it was described seemed awkward and clumsy. It felt like I was watching a Rated R movie with my parents in the room.
These are Cassie’s first books. Outside of the awkward sex scenes, these books are a solid start and an easy romantic read.
I also love a good Ghost story. I have to say combining them
both is amazing. The book is fast passed, well written and
a great read. I felt so bad for Bettina for all she has been
thought, but alls proud she had the courage to leave her
ex-husband. She is still a little scared of her shadow, but
with time she will grow stronger.
Then there is Seth he is the ghost that resides at the old
boarding house. The one her ghost hunting friends have
dragged her to. They have never got as much info until the
bring Bettina with them, but that is because Seth likes her.
He has not cared who came there he’d chase them off. But
there is something about her he cannot be without. So when
she leaves he follows her. But when something truly
amazing happens and he can talk to her. It is where the fun
begins; now they just have to find a way to be together.
And when they do will they want that still
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you
enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book,

when you do; they value your opinions too.
The book opens with three friends going on a ghost hunt in a small town Victorian mansion.
Bettina is a recent addition (aka outsider) to the small town, and has become fast friends with Amanda and Charity, her co-workers at the salon.
Seth is, well, a ghost in that mansion. He senses a connection in Bettina, and decides to follow her home. Bettina is the only person who can hear him, and they start falling in love.
I would give this book 4.5 stars. I liked the style of writing, and the characters seemed relatable. I loved the descriptions in the book. (Example: "Despite the fact they were all on a collision course with their thirties, Bettina's friend looked like a pinup, roller-derby chick with a thing for Rainbow Brite.") I didn't know how the ghost love story would play out, but I like how the author handled it. All in all, I thought it was a good book, and a good summer type read. I would definitely recommend!
Seth is a sexy soldier spirit, who’s been stuck at the same house for years – the same house he was killed in years ago. When Bettina goes on a ghost hunt in a creepy haunted house with her friends, who knew said ghost would take a liking to her and follow her home.
I really felt the connection between these two characters and once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down. I loved how they communicated – her showing up in his memories, him showing up in her dreams. They were very lovable and they captured my heart. Lots of feels with this beautifully written story.
I am a big fan of this author’s writing and I cannot wait to read more from her. If you’re looking for a quick, sweet, paranormal romance, I highly recommend this.
It’s totally normal for me to say that I’d like a spirit to follow me home and fall in love with me, right?
