This includes I'm familiar with his blog and some of his online trainings and I have to say reading this particular book "Follow Your Heart" made me learn a lot more about myself and taught me how to be aware of my current position and situation in life.
The book is an easy read although I've read it all in two sittings because I didn't want to speed read it, I actually took the time for things to sink in and I'm glad I did.
At first I thought the book was going to be all about meditation (which I'm not too fond of) but that's only the Chapter 1 (or "Day 1" as Henri calls them) I even tried the suggested meditation exercise at the end and it felt weird (again I don't meditate) but good at the same time.
There are 21 chapters in total and at the end of each chapter, there are three "heart based" actions that will put what you've just read to the test.
Even though it feels like a "Life is good and nothing is bad" kind of book, Henri actually goes very deep into mental health and I loved the fact that in the latest chapters he actually shows you that relaxing and taking a step back doesn't necessarily means to not do anything about your problems but how to actually solve them by making subtle changes in your perception of things.
You're going to find references to "following your heart" throughout the entire book, for some people this may sound "cheesy", for some others this will be fantastic but just in case you're put off by these references I'll suggest you think about that "gut feeling" we all have or your "very inner soul" because it's the same concept only different words.
I've been through a lot of constant changes myself and I felt I needed to speak with someone about them, I found almost all the answers to most of my questions in this book and I also felt like Henri was speaking directly to me.
This book will teach you how to deal with friendships, relationships, family, work, life, joy, mind, minimalism, stress, anxiety, anger, fears, awareness... there's a little bit of everything.

The chapters are very short and easy to relate to (only 3 pages each), which made reading a breeze. It was also refreshing that the author spoke directly to the reader, not in the lecture fashion that would have turned this book sour. I definitely feel a major difference within myself after reading Follow Your Heart. I feel calmer and think more rationally about feelings when processing certain situations and if you are someone who, like me, felt lost and needed reassurance that you’re not alone, read this book. It just may give you the epiphany you’ve been searching for, because after all, what is a happy life without following your heart?
Every time my little girl is conflicted, I always ask her, "What is your heart saying? Do what your heart says." Her eyes would gaze to nowhere as she would try to listen to her heart. As much as I find that face always amusing, I always have to run away because I dread the follow up question, "How, mom? How do I do that?" Well, thanks to Henri Junttila's FOLLOW YOUR HEART, I now have a little bit of courage to face my daughter because I am armed with words from the book.
This book will open your eyes to what we are doing to ourselves. You will see why happiness has been eluding you. Then you will realize that you do have a heart, and that you can listen to it. I've read the book three times over already (in less than 21 days I'm afraid) and each time, my connection to my heart has become more real and more strong. I've already applied some heart-based action steps in my life recently and it has incredibly helped me a lot.
This is a great book to have on the shelf. I would be going back to it every so often. I would definitely buy the book version when it comes out.
If you are struggling in anyway, with anything, in life, read this book.
