I offered Vegenaise, Best Foods Vegan and Best Foods Regular mayo condiment options at a party with a mix of vegan and non-vegan friends. Nearly everyone preferred Vegenaise over both Best Foods mayo. It's creamy and rich, slightly less sweet and has a very subtle brightness, like when you punch up fruit juice or tomato sauce with a bit of lemon juice. It's my new go-to over regular mayo, and I'm not even vegan.

If you prefer the rich salty, sugary taste of regular mayo, Best Foods Vegan tastes closer to the original.

I am very careful and mindful of the food I eat. I cannot do soy which most vegan foods have in it or gluten. This is soy free--and has a good flavor, taste like mayo, and like on sandwiches, potato salads, etc. I also use it to make dressings for lettuce salads.

Hands-down best equivalent. I’m a vegan now and mayo was the hardest thing to give up until I found this soy free option- a game changer. Its even better than the real mayo to me and I don’t say that lightly. (I think I’m a mayo snob.) I don’t understand the people who say it doesn’t taste like the real thing. At least try it and see for yourself.

People couldn't believe that i would even LOOK at a vegan mayo, but i read the reviews and saw many people saying they love Hellmann's mayo and this was just as good. I LOVE Hellmann's! I cant stand Hellmann's LIGHT. All Hellmann's has soybean oil and i stay away from all soy. Even their avocado mayo has canola and soybean oils in it. I had been buying Sir Kensington but it still had that slight smell and taste of motor oil...i do not know what that tastes like but if motor oil had a taste it is what i would think it and Hellmann's Light tastes like. Sooo, okay, I'll take a chance and try out this soy free mayo. OMG! I just made a tuna salad sandwich for lunch. I tasted the mayo before putting it on the tuna... and no chemical taste or smell...and it tasted great! I made my lunch and all i can say is I LOVE THIS MAYO! The jar says better than mayo...and wow...it is! I love it! I am making sure i stock up on it because stores have a bad habit of offering something for sale and then suddenly it is gone. And companies have a bad habit of changing their successful recipes. I highly recommend it. It is the closest to Hellmann's...in fact i find Hellmann's is a little salty...this is perfect! I called my friend up north and told her she had to get this mayo... NOW! Delicious!

What I liked the most for my health is the lack of certain ingredients: no SOY, no EGG.
What I loved was the flavor! I love mayonnaise, but have a food intolerance to eggs and as a woman, soy is too similar to female hormones and can upset my body’s balance. But this, this I could enjoy eating without upset stomach nor guilt. I use it with tuna fish, capers, a touch of mustard with Almond Crackers from Simple Mills! Yum!
