Through an unexpected infection, Jack's brother becomes in desperate
need for an operation to survive, an operation that costs £100,000. In a
painful past with the NHS, Jack (Matt Di Angelo) must go private and instead
of looking for more logical options Jack seeks finance from a local restaurant owner known as
'Phoenix Bressell' (Chucky Venn).
As Jack borrows money from Phoenix he decides to make the payment back by betting it
all at the casino. The story then unravels as Jack's left now owing more than he could imagine.
Christopher Knight (David Ajala) is Bressell's allie, he helps Phoenix in trying to
'Take care of Jack'. Dealing with the loss of his girlfriend and raising his only son, Chris
is a likable character who finds himself lost in a web of lies. Coming back into Jack's life is
Maria (Loui Batley), the only person he's felt close to and someone he's always loved. As she
leaves him for a traveling experience Jack's since felt isolated and alone.
Scratch the surface and you'll see broken homes, broken lives, failed relationships,
lover's killed and the struggle to appreciate family.
