When this devotional was delivered a few days ago, the first thing I said when I opened the package was “WOW, this is beautiful!” Sometimes books you receive feel “cheaply made”, but the quality feel and appearance of this devotional book is first class! The front cover photo is perfect!
Although we need to wait to give this to our daughter for Christmas, I couldn’t wait to look through this. Again, sometimes covers of books are great, but the inside isn’t always the best. That is NOT the case with this book! The pages are filled with wonderful color photos, illustrations/images and stories. The pages are really nice size also (8 1/2 X 11)- larger than average for a devotional book. I started reading just the first devotional in the book and absolutely loved it! Some devotionals we have are honestly too short. These devotionals are perfect size/length for reading on your own or together as a family. I think I will often end up reading these together with my daughter and then also will be able to discuss what we read. Already, with what I read in the first devotional, I can tell these are going to continue to be wonderful.
Another thing I wanted to mention that I noticed right off, Vicki has a very special way of sharing stories from her heart in such a special way. You can tell that she has a kind, gentle and caring spirit. She has an amazing way of drawing you in to the stories. She really has a gift from God with her writings. She really knows how to speak to your heart.
I wanted to make sure that I wrote a review because I honestly believe those that purchase this devotional will be completely impressed. This is absolutely PERFECT for the horse lover – young and old alike....or even if you don't have a horse or are new with horses, you will enjoy this. If you are an advanced horse rider, you will appreciate her style of writing as she talks about horses. If you are new to horses, you will still be able to understand her words about horses, while at the same time with what I have read already, you will be able to not only be touched by these devotions, but also learn about horses too.
God’s creation is all around us. I love how Vicki Watson uses her passion for horses and connects God’s love for us through these stories / devotions.
No one asked me to review this and nothing was sent to be for free to do a review. I honestly just wanted to share my thoughts with others as I truly believe this devotion book would be a GREAT ADDITION for you or your family – especially if you love horses and want to grow in knowing God’s love for you through His son Jesus. This would make a perfect gift for Christmas, Birthday, or just for any reason any time of the year!
An absolutely wonderful devotional book for horse lovers of all ages!

I am honored to be the first person to leave a review for this wonderful devotional. We just purchased this devotional a week ago as a gift for our 16 year old daughter.
