About the Author
Author and illustrator Carole Holliday is a story board artist in the animation industry. She also used to be very, very large. She lives in sunny Southern California where she now hikes, bikes, and runs slowly around her neighborhood. Over the course of her career she's worked for various animation companies including Disney and Dreamworks. Her years of creating story and images for film and Television crosses over into her writing. She blends gentle humor with spiritual insights and illustrations. Her intention: to encourage her readers to see the love of God, even if at times that love proves to be the tough kind. In the things she has written, Miss Holliday has walked, run, hiked and climbed the paths she's encouraging her readers to undertake. She knows from first hand experience it's a difficult road. That being said, she sees the hope in the journey and writes with encouragement that even if the struggle is real, it's definitely worth it.

In reading through this book, however, I was captivated by the simplicity yet immense spiritual depth. I was hooked after the first chapter and even read most the book aloud to my husband it was *that* good! I've struggled with my weight after each consecutive baby delivery & some women swear that nursing will naturally shed the poundage... Well I am here to say, those ladies are cuckoo. My body held on to extra weight tighter than a child & his beloved toy. Yoyo dieting & trying different diets never produces long lasting results.
This book has given me a fresh, new, liberating attitude & outlook toward honoring the Lord by what I choose to let though the mouth gate of my body. I highly recommend reading this book, whether you are overweight on the outside (or on the inside!!), or just looking for an encouraging, convicting, hilarious book to grow you in your love for your Savior. This is your meal ticket!
I bought a second copy because I gave the first one away (because I was so fired up about it!), and realized I wanted to keep it close at hand for those times when I needed to be encouraged, again. And again...And again....
If you have ever struggled with unhealthy eating habits or your relationship with food in general, I encourage you to give it a read.
No, you can't borrow my copy....😏
