Shelley is an incredible coach who will change your life! Her book and programs are all centered around behaviours and thoughts, which NEED to come to light more in our industry of changing peoples' food. Food and nutrition is so intimate and people believe their thoughts about it to be true. Shelley questions that and pushes you to discover so much about yourself! I love the perspective on this especially for women stuck in the yo-yo dieting cycle. It is so important that we start loving ourselves instead of trying to hate ourselves into weight loss. This book and Shelley's coaching would be benefit to ANYONE but as a Holistic Nutritionist I have found exceptional aid that I highly recommend. I've been on the 'diet' merry go round most of my life and struggled with my weight. I'd go down the up and put back twice as much, it felt like a never ending cycle. This course supported me to address underlying issues and accept myself right now. It also helped me be kinder and more loving to myself, break patterns that I wasn't aware of and make much healthier choices. I feel a Freedom around food, I enjoy eating a healthier diet which includes healthy choices and some favourites as well. I'd highly recommend this book if you truely are ready to feel free around food.... P.s. The weight loss is great it's like the icing on the cake it's just happening without any guilt or negative self talk.
This book is a wonderful resource to help people understand and overcome problematic and emotional eating. The author has written from experience and she digs deep, while keeping it very supportive and easy to understand. Strategies are given and you will think about and look at food in a new way...your relationship to food can change! This book is not about dieting. It's an amazing tool that will help you to understand underlying issues, break patterns that you may not even be aware of, and make healthier choices around food and life that you were unable to do before. Thanks to Shelley and this course I now have a step-by-step solution that is not only life changing but is also in alignment with how I want to help guide others towards food, and body freedom. Food Freedom hits the head on the nail by shining a light on the most commonly expressed challenges that emotional or disordered eaters face. You can really tell Shelley put her whole heart into this work, and that she truly understands the struggle that problematic eaters experience.
