Hello! My book club is hosting our February meeting tomorrow night and I am looking for ideas for something to bring to the event. We read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, and I love to bring foods that some how relate to the book that we've read. I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for this book--I don't think that Pea Soup, particularly if it's watered down, would be such a great idea. All suggestions are welcome! :)

So I found this post by googling "food for book club on The Book Thief" and it looks like you're in my position too!! I am also looking for a food or idea for my book club that I'm hosting on The Book Thief!! I haven't found anything yet, but the only thing I've been able to come up with myself (which might very well be useless) is making an egg and ham casserole(>where the kids steal the basket from that boy who was taking food to the priests, and they make fried eggs and have chunks of ham>?>I told you my ideas might be a little out there!) My only other thought was slicing up a bunch of apples and put them on a big platter with Carmel dip >(the kids always stealing ad eating all of those apples!)
THat's about all I have-LoL- which is why I'm still searching for a more intelligent solution! I don't know how to quite judge my own!! That's probably not much help, but I'll be sure to post again if I find something! Good Luck! = )
