I make my own vitamin C serum with this stuff and it is so good for my skin. Vitamin C is involved it the stimulation and production of collagen in the skin and you can not get enough of it in the right places through diet alone.

Buying high quality, designer C serum is always an option, but, it will cost you an arm and a leg and it will have preservatives in it and who knows what else? When you make your own, it is always fresh, extremely effective, you always know what is in it and it is so affordable you can use it all over if you wish.

I make a fresh batch every 3 days and keep it in a dark spray bottle container. Vitamin C is extremely fragile and will turn quickly. If that happens you will actually be putting something on your skin that will CAUSE the very damage you are intending to prevent and reverse in the first place. So keep it fresh, never trust products that have vitamin C added unless they are costly and have a reputation for being good quality. Vitamin C is quite a buzz word for advertisers and marketers of products but does absolutely no good for your skin if it is not preserved properly and packaged correctly.

Vitamin C serum needs to be made with purified water if you are using water as the base. Some other options are witch hazel or rose water. You can also add a drop or two of glycerin to give it a little slip and spread-ability. Always store it in an air tight container to prevent oxidation and make sure the container is a dark glass or plastic to protect it from light.

Depending on how strong you want it the following guide will give you the measurements for the right formula for your needs or tolerance.

Really disappointing! The web says the product is made in the USA. The product delivered says made in China! I was specifically looking for USA made product. In my mind this is false advertising. I will not eat any food products from China! It is going back to the seller.

I purchased this back when I had prime and I received it the next day. Since then, (roughly a year) I have been using this product regularly both internally and externally for a various amount of reasons. I will give you insight on how and why I use this product, weigh the pros + cons, disclose a warning and end with the results.

Internal usage: I take this before (recommended dosage), during and after my monthly cycle. By doing so, I have been getting less cramps, and smoother cycles. This has also regulated my cycle and put me on a 28 day cycle rather than the 39 day cycle I used to be on prior to taking this Vitamin C. I have also used this to induce my menstrual cycle during my attempts to regulate it, it worked fantastically.

Why I take it internally: Not only is Vitamin C essential, but most of us don't get enough of it daily. Don't fall for any gimmicks companies give you about Vitamin C. If they claim that their product is packed with it, it is most likely unnatural. Even if it is packed with the Vitamin C, it will have no positive or negative affect on you because Vitamin C loses it powerful affects it is "activated", (kind of like food when it goes bad, except this doesn't change in color or odor - not from my experience, at least!) The best source of Vitamin C is through naturally grown fruits and vegetables, if you don't get enough Pure Ascorbic Acid is a superb addition to your diet.

How I make my cocktail: I pour the recommended dosage in a small cup, a bit bigger than a shot glass, fill it with enough water to dissolve the crystals, stir into the crystals are dissolved and then I shoot it immediately. Remember, Vitamin C loses affect quickly so carrying dissolved to go won't benefit you in any way.

I LOVE the way this ascorbic acid works in my system when taken daily (I take 1/2 teaspoon in a tall glass of water each morning). Gives me LOTS of energy and definitely helped keep colds at bay (I have two kids who have come home from school with back to back freakin' colds, and I've managed to stay healthy - which is rare for me). It also helped my digestive track to become even more regular than it was. Pooping good is always a plus. Beware though, the first couple of days on this, I had diarrhea in the morning. Nothing horrible at all, and not continual. It just took place of my normal bowel movements. Oh! Annnnnnd...I mixed 1/2 teaspoon of this in a baby food sized jar (half way filled) with purified water, and use a dropper to apply a few drops to my face and neck in the evening after a shower. My skin has never looked better. I think taking it internally also has a lot to do with my skin looking better, but wow. Helps with discoloration, fine lines, and zits. Total plus! Before finishing this bottle, I ordered a brand that does not use GMO corn to make the product from iHerb.com). It's double the size (16 oz.) and has almost 1,000 % higher potency. I'm loving it. It was very inexpensive too. Either way, this stuff is great. I'm just concerned about the whole genetically modified corn issue. I'll be taking ascorbic acid for the rest of my life! P.s....Use a straw to drink!
