Jeff Nyquist is thinker in the class of Olavo de Carvalho. If Diana West or Trevor Loudon are familiar to you, then you are perhaps familiar with Nyquist, and know that were it not for his steadfastness over three decades or more, his quiet influence in just the right places, among just the right people, we would be facing even longer odds than we are both as a nation and a Civilization. This is a very important book.

This book melds philosophy with astute, prescient commentary on our current awful situation. Very highly recommended.
Some will be saying he is not scientific and a kook in rejecting Global Warming, others say he is not pragmatic with respect to the Too Big To Fail economics... all actually failing in their own hubristic atheistic pretenses which are not true but in fact a post-paganistic world of shallow barbarians with no souls who simply are not willing to think things through. Much like their superior pagans whose optimism actually derived from a world now and in the future, today's barbarians want to be shown a future, not a past, and certainly not the timelessness of Pure Reason with its concurrent repeating history. Yes, the end of history is as ridiculous a pagan belief as a child pretending he will not make the same mistakes as his parents and even do better without honoring their hard earned lessons. How foolish!
What these barbarian pseudo-atheists forget, and it is that before Leibnitz or Newton were scientists, they were philosophers first. Philosophy is the master topic, one much neglected nowadays, and for good utopian reasons. No, instead they will parade on TV "scientists" whose science and analysis of the world are beholden to politics, money influence and whatever else scam, as the Sokal and Sokal squared affair proved it. No, both history and philosophy, both the very time and money and power independent topics have to be debauched and crushed in academia by the empowered idiots and barbarians who think that money and power is the last word, the end of history, that communism for 1000 years will rule etc... people who brandish an overwhelming power yet who would quake in their boots if they had to confront the very condition they impose on us (a bit like the Nazi warden who cannot admit that a resilient jew in a death camp is stronger than he is, him getting this job as warden because too afraid of facing harsh realities like the jew who is enduring the torture, and we saw similar cases in the Soviet Union of resilient Solzhenitsyn and countless disabled handicapped people that the system was obviously powerless to accommodate and who accommodated themselves despite the 'world socialist' system).
No, as Thomas Sowell explained, the world is divided between tragics and utopists. Our Founders were tragics and so America and the US Constitution and its view that there exists enemies must be completely destroyed by the politics of the utopist. For sure, the utopist has the advantage of being oriented toward the future. Then again, by the same token, what we call backward 7th Century Islamic Kalifate dreams are too oriented toward the future. These are not religions of the past and gods of the past, but concept for the future of their current adherents. And so we have this odd bed-fellow of diversity, gays and islamic radicalism... and not just mere islam, for strangely the utopists , fools and barbarians do not associate with moderate forms of islam or communism, but its most dangerous and virulent forms, completely suppressing more reasonable muslims or atheists.
No, no, as anthropologists will explain, there is no such thing as atheism, in the barbarian sense. What is it that France, an atheist country, does not understand that its atheism, its sources, its "ancestors" (i.e. really, its founders who saw a future for it, and thus ancestors are in the future here, and not of the past), are not the same at all as German or Chinese or Russian post Soviet cynical atheism? Obviously Nazi "atheism" was different than the Soviet "atheism" (the socialist deep state systems seemed identical except on cosmetic grounds, but the implementation different, as communists like to say it, since the Soviets used first those they wanted to exterminate, politically sealing their death, instead of kinetically killing them as the Nazis did) which are yet different from Mao's "atheism" etc... No, these are the barbarian pseudo-intellectual pseudo-atheisms of the barbarian scientists of the day who only care to know Isaac Newton, Descartes, Pascale or Leibtnitz for the scientific goodies their pure reason produced for our "future". THey absolutely could care less about the fundamentals, the philosophy, they only care to rush with the derivative goodies like apprentice sorcerers of science, repeating the same errors of the silly witches of old times who similarly ended up losing political power because they did not own the absolute source and the absolute "future", the Absolute itself!
And these people moralize us about being together happy, about identity about global warming and science... This is JR Nyquist's timeless indictment of such people, and it is too kind, because looking at the future, as he says, as a ridiculous concept of the monkey ancestor according to Darwin, would at least be cute, or even tenable in the pagan African imagery of founding and designing a people and a nation. No, those oriented toward the utopia of the glorious nihilist future could care less in the end, eventually in this same self-derision they will rationalize their failure into another political "success", which is that of a Kevorkian suicide, an ancestor and a future called death they seem to be fond of, instead of the sober assessment of the true Atheist for whom there is no past, nor future, but a memory of things correlating each other in a timeless manner, eternal values that we etch in eternal stones so that we aspire to immortality.

What is really special in Nyquist's essay is that he connects the metaphysical topics with a lifelong experience of geopolitical analysis.
If you did not hear from Soviet defector literature yet, the book will blow your mind.
