The action was amazing, I love how Cat, though female, was shown to be a strong individual. The fact that she is strong enough to lead their group is so nice to see, also, the relationship between Cat and Cody had a great dynamic, superbly written in a way that they were not always too serious, but they understood and compromise with each other. This story is really refreshing. Great read. Ayennixx - Amazon
Fool's Game is easy to read; the characters are fun, with a dry wit; the story is passionate and exciting, and it is definitely one I would recommend. Kirstyv- Amazon
Everything melds so seamlessly together that you can't help but get drawn along with the fast paced action of this well written tale. This story definitely made me laugh and gasp in turn. Not only is this story action packed, it's also very emotionally charged. Huffman adds a bit of everything to this story so that there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The story pulled me in the the first time I read it, as an Advance Reader Copy. The second read through, after its release, held me captive just the same. Even though I knew what happened I still found myself up far too late because I could not put it down. Suspense, humor, love and lust, friendship and deeper issues make this book gripping.
Huffman has an ability to bring the characters to life with a depth unlike any other. Fool's Game, like her other books, can be read without reading previous books however, she carefully intertwines characters from her other books into other stories.
Start with this book, or go back and start with her earlier works, you will not have any regrets.
Cat is a spy, part of a top-secret operation along with her brother (Jack) and BFF (Ella). Cody is a senator, he and Cat have a romantic history.
The book moved pretty quickly, I didn't feel like it dragged at all. The romance was engaging and I enjoyed the banter between Cat and Cody (as well as Ella and Jack's romance). The thriller part stretched believability a bit, but I enjoyed the ride. There was also quite a bit of humor here, which is always welcome in any book.
