Interwoven and beautifully written, the author leads you into deeper levels of faith, while opening doorways of understanding and knowledge. It will be food for thought and spiritual strengthening for those who are teachers, while an excellent introduction to the richness of the gospel to those who may be new or even not yet consider themselves to be Christians. I highly recommend to students and teachers alike, especially in these complex times when global events are unveiling the relevance of biblical prophecies like never before.

Much information in this book has been written in the book by Ellen G. White, entitled THE GREAT CONTROVERSY BETWEEN CHRIST AND SATEN. Her predictions have been seen so far to have fallen into place as she was shown in vision. The CONFLICT OF THE AGES series written by her tell the wonderful love of the Father to rescue us from the once-number one angel, who wanted to be like God, but is only a creature. These books in the CONFLICT series are a wonderful way to read along with the Bible--which is a revelation of what God is like: Patient, kind, and loving and NOT vengeful, severe, exacting, and arbitrary. The whole universe is watching this little theatre on Earth and whatever we here have to suffer, God who has always been abundant, will make it up to us some day in the Earth made new--if we are willing to Trust Him (Habakkuk).

Jonathan Gray has a way of conducting novel research and piecing together new evidence to form a cohesive picture of what we are not told. This is a large volume but so easy to read that you will find yourself picking it up at every spare moment. Much of his logic and evidence is undeniable, it is a treasure trove of fresh ideas and perspectives. It sparks your curiosity about a whole range of topics. Who knew that druids were followers of the Hebrew tradition? Who knew that the original universal zodiac was made op of signs and messages clearly pointing humanity to the coming messiah? Who knew that Jewish rabbis deleted swathes of history from official timelines in order to pretend the Messiah had not yet come? This book is packed with fascinating and original insights into matters that most people are entirely unaware of.
His artistic license is laid on a bit too thick in places however- I highly doubt that savage birds of prey circled over ancient roman crucifictions in "expectation of a feast".

I like books that are very direct and very specific in their writing and use less words doing it. I will give this book 5 stars for its content but you have to read a lot of jargon.

Page after page of rationalising the bible was not entirely expected and became tedious. I struggled to finish this book... but plodded on to what can only be described as a rather luck lustre and disjointed conclusion.
On the positive side, some of the information was indeed intriguing and Gray's friendly and easy to assimilate writing style made the journey bearable. Having little time for 'bible bashers', Gray at least makes good use of accountable data and research, but like all 'christians', falls into the trap of assuming 'my club is the only one'. This is a 'belief' state.
If you're a christian and wish to learn more about the bible and the 'history' of it's 'time of making', this book will undoubtedly add leverage to your own belief state. However, being personally more pragmatic, I'd suggest that our simulated reality of consumption does not align harmoniously... and that the super-intelligence so many call God, doesn't love you, it merely finds you interesting.
