About the Author
Hello! My name is Kathi Barton and I’m an author. I have been married to my very best friend Sonny for at times seems several lifetimes – in a good way, honey. And together we have three wonderful children and then the ones we brought into the world - Paul and Dale Barton, Jason and Wendy Barton and Danielle and Ben Conklin. They have given us seven of the greatest treasures on Earth. They don’t live at home seven days a week! No, seriously, seven grandchildren – Gavin, Spring, Ben, Trinity, Sarah, Kelly and Kian.

Force of the Dark, Book 2
Gordon and Alexis. Gordon along with hsi twin Connor are cops in the town they live in. Gordon unfortunately learned nothing from Austin and follows in his foot steps of wedging his foot in his mouth were is mate is concerned. He even takes it to a new level manageing to offend Phil and the rest of the family in the process. Alexis is a white witch a healer, with a few other talents, caring for her murdered sisters 4 young kids with the help of her 2 aunts. The kids father is abusive, a "changed wolf" and is suspected bu Alexis in killing his wife. Their is a sadistic vampire involved as well. Phil's parents, Holly and Rod, offer their help. A overall great story. A fun and steamy read.
Another problem I had was Jessie. Now Jessie is one of Alexis's aunt and one of the bad guys. After she dies it's like she never existed. She is brought up once for about a page and then nothing, no one asks where she is (except on the one-ish page previously mentioned), if she's dead, nothing. There were just too many times in the book that a subject got started and just a quickly got cut off and another started like it was nothing, like there wasn't a previous topic.
Another thing that really bothered me was that the relationship between Alexis and Gordon was so wacky! It was basically all physical, at least for Alexis, because most of the book she glares at him or talks about how she's mad at him but has no problem being with him physicall. She constantly trys to kick him out and get him to leave. Also not once does she tell him she loves him. He tells her with no problem but she doesn't ever say it.
I could keep going cause there are other things that bothered me but I don't know maybe these problems are just mine because this book got great reviews, I just didn't care for it too much. Now maybe I'm not very smart for doing this but despite the problems I had with this book, I really want to read Holly and Phil's story, I just hope it is way better.
I don't like writing negative reviews but I rely heavily on reviews when trying to decide if I should buy a book and I know others do too so I figured I would put in my two cents. That being said, everything I have said is completely honest. I really can't reccomend this book.
On a last note I appologize for any spelling or grammatical errors in my review.
FORCE OF NATURE series is one of those books you can't put down until it's all finished. This is book 2 in an 8 book series. There's been many things put on hold (laundry, dishes, dinner, grocery shopping, etc.) just because I wanted to know what happens next, or if they get out of whatever mess they got themselves in.
I would highly recomend reading this series. Also check out her amazon page also there is so much more!!!!!!!!!!
absolutely luv this author
Thanks Ms. Barton for the time, energy, and whatever else it takes to get the book from your brain to the point I get to take the adventure through those pages that captivated me. AWESOME
