Foreplayer is book #4 in the Rookie Rebels Series but it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them all since they are such great books

Cal Foreman is taking a timeout from women and relationships to focus on hockey but when Chicago Rebels captain and old friend, Vadim Petrov ask him to help his sister Mia train for her Olympic tryouts he may need to reconsider is timeout from women.

Mia is trying to get her life back in order both on a professional and personal level, getting into the US women's hockey team is her main professional goal and on a personal level she is trying to seduce the man of her dreams which is definitely not Cal but she can sure use his help with tips and some much needed practice.

I really enjoyed reading about Mia and Cal, Mia is a professional hockey player that everyone was sure she will be a big star after college but she took a break from playing in order to coach but she didn’t tell her family and friends the reason why. I loved reading how Mia is trying to change her life and I love the banter between her and Cal, they had strong chemistry and both weren't afraid to speak their mind.

Cal has secrets of his own and as much as he wasn't looking for a relationship he is very attracted to Mia and the more time he spends with her the more he wants her to give them a real chance and not just use him for seduction practice but it's not going to be easy to convince her and also make sure his friend Vadim won't kill him for dating his baby sister.

Foreplayer is a great addition to the series, full of funny, sexy and emotional moments.
It was great getting to read more about characters from previous books in the series, the bond between all the platers is very strong and it's nice to read how they care about one another.

Kate Meader has another hit on her hands with Foreplayer. There’s a dramatic undertone, but, for the most part, it’s a lighthearted and fun addition to the Rookie Rebels series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mia Wallace and Cal Foreman might seem an unlikely match at first, but it soon becomes apparent, to the reader at least, they’re actually perfect for one another. Watching them finally come to that realization is highly entertaining. They’re casual friends, but there’s a definite competitive and frenemies vibe that just adds extra spice to their relationship.

I adored Mia Wallace in So Over You, her brother Vadim Petrov’s story in the Chicago Rebels series. It isn’t surprising she’s grown into a confident, determined, forthright woman who goes after what she wants. What — or who — she wants is definitely not a hockey player. Is it? Over time, Cal proves not all hockey players are complete dic…jerks.

Cal Foreman is yet another in a long line of the author’s irresistible heroes. Although Cal is yummier than most. A fierce protectiveness hidden behind an easy-going charm quickly made him my new favorite Rookie Rebel.

Many of the original cast from the Chicago Rebels series have prominent roles in this story. Seeing them and catching up with their families and careers is always a highlight and something I look forward to.

Foreplayer delivers the snarky competitiveness, sexual tension, emotional, and steamy moments the blurb promises. It hooked me immediately, and I alternately couldn’t put it down and wanted it to never end.

This story can be read as a standalone but reading the previous books in both series would explain some relationships and increase the reader enjoyment. The other stories are fabulous in their own right and shouldn’t be missed.

So much yumminess! Kate Meader showers exciting hockey players on us on the regular, but she might have just outdone herself with Callum in book four of the Rookie Rebels series FOREPLAYER! I loved his honesty, his humor and most of all the stunted man inside who didn't know how to recover from heartbreak until he met Mia. I'm looking forward to more in the series for sure ... and here's hoping there might be a Chicago Athenas spinoff in our future!

Mia hasn't had it easy in life, so watching her go for a dream is heartwarming. She's got her eyes set on a man ... but she needs to up her game before she can turn his head. Who better to help her than the player himself?

Cal is a doll. He might have a revolving door installed on his bedroom, but he's always upfront about what he has to offer and treats the women he dates with respect during and after they go their separate ways. He doesn't plan to ever trust deeply again ... until Mia comes into his world.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a good sports romance with a close knit hockey family taking center stage as one of the players finds his true love.

Loved Cal and Mia! Every time I read another Rookie Rebels story I love it more than the last and this was no exception!

Cal is the new rebel on the block but he is teaming up again with friend and old team mate Vadium.

Mia is the younger sister to Vadium, a promising Hockey player herself but after an incident in college took a step back from playing hockey competitively until now!

With Vadium out injured, and Mia needing some pointers as she tries to get on team usa who better to help her than her brothers best mate Cal.

The sparkes fly for these two pretty much straight away, not the either of them realise that. They have such easy banter.

Mia has no time for hockey players and certainly doesn't want to date one again! Mia's off limits for Cal, she's his best mates younger sister and you don't go there but then Mia turns to Cal for advice, he's a guy and she wants to know how to seduce a guy she has her eye on! Which leads some rather amusing text message exchanges!

Can't wait to read the next one in the series!
