About the Author
Raine Thomas is the award-winning author of bestselling Young Adult and New Adult fiction. Known for character-driven stories that inspire the imagination, Raine recently signed with multiple award-winning producer Chase Chenowith of Back Fence Productions to bring her popular Daughters of Saraqael trilogy to the big screen. She's a proud indie author who is living the dream.
Raine is a hopeless romantic with a background in the fields of mental health and wedding planning...two areas that intersect far more than one would think. Her years working with children and young adults with emotional and behavioral challenges inspired her to create protagonists who overcome their own conflicts. When she isn't writing or glued to e-mail or social networking sites, Raine can usually be found vacationing with her husband and daughter on one of Florida's beautiful beaches or crossing the border to visit with her Canadian friends and relatives.

1. World Building is beyond phenomenal, and it's easy to visualize the unique home of the Estilorians. Vivid imagery with some similarities to earth but not enough to detract from amazing world building.
2. Fierce, empowered women with special powers
The daughters of Saraquel, Amber, Olivia, are in excellent shape, have uniquely special powers and gifts, and can take a beating in battles. They fight alongside the incredible men, and even after taking a beating, they pull through. Plus, what could be better than having wings?
3. Antagonists worth hating
When I read a book, I want my antagonists to be deplorable and the leader and minions of the Estilorians nail it. I truly despised their shade of evil and constant efforts to deceive by series end.
4. Well-rounded characters.
Raine's characters are 3D and each have believable unique personalities. You get to know and love them intimately along with many others.
5. Proves Indie authors have talent and aren't just garbage works that traditional publishers often reject
I used to stick to the mainstream with Koontz, Gresham, King, Rice, et al. Negative perception has been negated, and I'm looking forward to my more openminded approach to reading all talented writers (or willing to give all a chance). Read Raine Thomas, because I assure you they'll be amazing.

Skye is the spirited one of the sisters, with so much sparkling, positive energy. She brings an experience of blissful happiness to those around her with her passionate virtues. Caleb, on the other hand, is the total opposite with no expressive feelings, because he was never brought up in this otherworld plane to understand or experience what these sentiments really are. After shadowing Skye on a day-to-day basis as her protector and coach, he becomes more aware of the mannerisms of such feelings, and they begin to develop within him. It will not be until one day when Skye is taken by the archenemy Grolkinei that Caleb will then realize what a fool he was in not conveying his love to Skye: the turmoil of emotions inside him leave him suffering the loss, but Caleb will have a second chance.
In due course, Skye will miraculously escape and return, and oh what a breathtaking joining Caleb and Skye will experience...a storybook fairytale (literally)! While Caleb and Skye's relationship is the most delicious part of the story, there is so much more to this riveting adventure that will have you transfixed at every page.
For you see, there is to be a historic battle that was prophesized and "foretold" from the very beginning of the sisters' existence, and now it is time to fulfill it. It will be this battle that will unite the masses of the otherworld plane: this collaboration will prove to be of great importance in their quest for conquering the enemy. Moreover, it will be the sisters' gifts and emotional bonds that will forever change their new world. As it was foretold "...it is love that will prove most vital to our future". And so it begins...
Fabulous trilogy -- remarkable characters, adventuresome stories, lovely romances, and just a down right exhilarating read. Highly recommend the entire series! Brilliant!
I truly enjoyed reading Foretold. I absolutely love Skye and Caleb. I feel an automatic connection with Skye because I am the youngest of three girls also. She is completely selfless, she never lets her abilities go to her head. She brings light and joy to her family. I admire her spirit. Caleb's hard exterior doesn't sway Skye from trying to soften his heart. As an Estilorian and Gloresti, Caleb struggles with feelings. In a world where feelings were abandoned thousands of years ago, he is unsure how to handle someone as passionate as Skye. She is more than willing and ready to handle that challenge however. I laughed out loud, my heart pounded with anticipation and the words blurred as I cried. Foretold has it all. I'm not saying goodbye to the Estilorians, but rather see you soon.
