My heart was happy to meet Seth. My heart screamed at the appearance of Sekhmet. And it wailed at the loss the Portia endured.
My heart is happy with how this book wrapped the story up, and again, the lives are not over, but the story of Frenzy feels completed.
Amazing job Casey!!!
I knew they'd be back. Love, and revenge are too strong for death to stop. They were just there, waiting for the right time to come back.
But Porschia was in frenzy once again, and mama bear is a force to be reckoned with.
Loved the whole series! Wish it was longer though, but I think it was done just right!
In my opinion, this series could have (and should have) ended with the fifth book. Did I want Porschia to end up with Saul instead of Tage? Not really, but it gave the story a fairly natural conclusion, SEEING AS HOW TAGE WAS DEAD AND ALL. The sixth book just felt like the author changing her mind after the fifth book had already gone to press. How convenient! Now Saul is dead and out of the way so that Tage---who has been 'alive' in The Sands the last 16 years---can be with Porschia now, yay! *Cue dramatic eyeroll"
And don't get me started on the whole 'Tageset-the-magical-son-of-an-Egyptian-pharaoh' story arch that came out of nowhere and derailed the fifth book entirely…I very much enjoyed the first few books, but if I had paid for this series, I would've been pissed about the last two books with this see-saw ending. Seriously, what happened here?
I gave this two stars because the rest of the series had such promise and ultimately, I was on Team Tage…
