I originally got this book to read in exchange for review. It is too good to not be bought though.
I am not sure if I loved this book the same or more than the first one. I was so excited to know when it had came out, that is for sure.
This books is real.
It has a relationship that has its ups and downs and isn't sugar coated. They may have their happily ever after in the end but it took time to get there.
Seb says and does all the right things and he is trying to make a relationship with Izzy work. Though he has been in 'the scene' longer than Izzy, this relationship is a first for him. A first in having someone he truly loves and a first for having someone not just pretend to be something they are not in order to be with him.
Izzy is just getting divorced. She has known for a long time that it was over but it was Seb's words that pushed her to take the final step Now her ex won't let her move on and is making life for Izzy and Seb complicated and making Izzy often rethink her decisions.
Even with all of these problems arising, they push forward to get to where they need to be. Together. With each other.
Isabelle is in a crappy marriage. She suspected that her husband had been cheating on her but after 10 years she thought she was being paranoid. She meets Sebastian and she starts exploring her sexuality, feeling half curious and half guilty. Sebastian cares about Isabelle and he doesn't want to be side piece. So he basically gives her an ultimatum. After some thinking, she drops her husband but the guy is not willing to go down without a fight. Sebastian and Isabelle move in together and explore her sexuality much more....but things get difficult with her ex being a douchebag.
I liked that Sebastian, as Isabelle's Dom, gave her not only a physical choice but an emotional one. Isabelle's doubts about her divorce were very human; even when her ex is being difficult, she didn't want to hurt him. She was respectful of the 10 years he gave her.
Review by Laura
Isabel makes her choice and it’s Seb. Her neglectful soon to be ex husband Phil isn’t pleased as he wants to keep appearances for his job security.
After suffering at Phil’s hands, Izzy must pull her life together with the help of Seb and her friend Jess.
Full of love and hotness-I am loving these books.
Rachel played it smart and gave us a beautiful preview of Forever More at the end of her first novel More - she indeed avoided a lynching by giving me a small glimmer of hope that Seb and Izzy would find their way.
Rachel turned a sometimes taboo subject into a beautiful love story that echos real life. Many women are stuck in a loveless relationship without the courage to fight for what they want and need. I was happy to see Isabel gather the strength and courage to move on with her life and I enjoyed reading a story that wasn't always peachy! Life and relationships have real problems - most authors won't bring those to light but Rachel was able to do that and keep us interested in the couple and to reading on until the very last word where the sentiment brought a tear to my eye!
Even though much of this book deals with real life problems, Rachel has not forgotten to include some very steamy sex scenes that she so expertly knows how to write. Rachel gives me faith in the elusive possibility of coming on command, great phone sex, and a love that lasts Forever More!
