With Forever Ride, Chelsea Camaron continues with the tradition of delivering a character driven story in an MC setting. This romance is focused on the development of Savannah (aka Sass) and Tank's characters. As Sass tries to settle into a life outside of the club and Tank comes back from a severe injury, a result from the Hellions' ordeal with Felix Delatorre.
Months go by and Sass settles in with a preppy, pretty boy because he delivers the stable, safe and secure life she thinks is what she wants. Having seen the dangers of club life, she wants that all as far away from her as possible. But like most of us, she learned that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Little by little she abandons that life for something new and has to come to terms with how different it is from what she's so used to.
With Tank, we learn where he comes from and what brought him to the Hellions' door. How he became the man he is and that Sass drives him to be the man he will be and what he'll do to claim and protect what's his.
Slow paced with heart and passion, we watch them find their way together through different routes making the reunion that much sweeter.
Franklin 'Tank' Oleander was critically injured & lies in a comma, on the brink of death. He knows his 'family' is there, pulling for him but he can't wake up. Every day his 'Button' comes to see him. He can hear her, he feels he touch, he just can't open his eyes. Then one day she stops coming & the darkness seems to stay even more. Will he find the will to wake up or will he take that final ride.
Savannah 'Sass' Perchton grew up in the life, the Hellions have always been her family. But she has reached a point in her life where she has decided to follow another path. She is breaking ties with the club to devote herself to her boyfriend Nick. He doesn't like her continued connection with the club & slowly but surely isolates her from all of them, even her parents & her best friend 'Doll'.
This is their story, and as I said before there were parts of it that really infuriated me but in the end, I absolutely loved this book & can't wait to read the next book in this series.
"Darkness. Shadows. Blackness. Gloom. Sadness. I am engulfed in obscurity, vagueness and murkiness. Oblivion. I am not completely gone, but I'm not altogether here, either. Lost. Tumbling. Absent. A soft voice comes through; gentle, kind, loving and sad. Her voice, her presence, breaks the numbness consuming me. My girl is here. The light in the dark. The sounds of her, the feel of her, knowing she's here pulls me through the shades of black."
Cannot wait for Tessie and Shooter's story next.
I don't think I have adequate words to convey how much you will absolutely love Tank. This man ... his life ... he is just ridiculously WWWOOOOWWWW. That isn't to say that Savannah is not worthy of noting, but I truly think that Tank stole the show here lol. This man's journey was incredibly. Their journey together was incredible. The whole thing was incredible. Okay, time for a new word ... lol But like I said ... I find myself inadequate with words right now.
The story/journey of Tank and Sass starts in One Ride so I do recommend that you start with that book if you want to get a complete picture of these two. Their sparks are undeniable from the moment you meet them. They can fight the inevitable, but love always wins and these two had love in spades. Even when they fought it!
I absolutely love The Hellions and would highly recommend this entire to series to anyone interested in reading this trope!
