Forget me not is a continuing story of Chad Lowell one of the founding members of the List and Found agency series by J.M.Madden.
When Chad is called back home to his families ranch in Texas after his father suffers a heart attack. He doesn't hesitate to ask John and Duncan for time off to help with the spring round up but when he realizes he's missed being part of the ranch. It provides to be an eye opening adventure to all of them including teaching Mercy about ranch life.
Lora has been so wrapped up in her classes and learning how to run the investment business left to her by her ex-husband that she realizes that both Mercy and Chad are missing her. But being in the Lowell ranch changes her focus to finally planning her wedding and showing Chad her love for him is stronger than ever. Will bring back on the ranch be able to bring them together again and finally having their wedding?
I look forward to reading more about the Lowell family in future books hopefully the guys from Lost and Found will show up in a few of them, as I will miss them. J.M. Madden has gift for bringing the veterans who were combat modified as they are our heroes as is the women who love them.
We find it's been 1 1/2 years since he and Lora got together, making them and little Mercy a family. Chad is by far my favorite LNF character, his patience and devotion to this wounded woman are remarkable. They both harbor fears of rejection and their own forms of PTSD. Chad supports the growth that Lora is making in her personal and professional life, but it's frustrating him too.
We see a growth in the family dynamic, not just with Chad, Lora and Mercy, but also with Chad and Brock. You need to read the book to understand what I'm talking about (I don't want to give any spoilers).
The family emergency is a jolt to everyone- but is it enough to get each of them to focus on what's really important in their lives? Read the series to find out!
Let's make reading books a priority this summer!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion of what I've read. Ps- I liked it so much I bought it!
This book has a lot of heart, warmth and reality of a developing relationship with and emotionally damaged woman. It is the perfect segue between the Lost and Found series and the new Lowell's of Honeywell series. My only complaint is that I can't wait for the next book in the series to learn more about Brock who was so emotionally distant and cruel in Lost and Found to the man he is becoming in Forget Me Not. Fortunately, the wait is short and Brock's book will be released later this month.
An excellent prequel with lots of breadcrumbs for future books while still developing Lora and Chad's relationship and their HEA.
