RAW .. GRITTY .. POWERFUL. ~Summers Book Blog

WOW. This is one hell of a book. Gia makes a one heck of a decision in this book. It's full of love and angst and heartbreak and dang I couldn't think that the sex could have gotten any hotter. But it does. Gina wrote this book so flawlessly. SIMPLY PERFECT~ Panty Dropping Book Blog

OOOHHHH Lawd...I am absolutely loving this series!!! Sooo freaking good!!
Forgiving Gia is the 2nd book in this series, Saving Abel being the first. And I can not wait to get my hands on the 3rd book!!! ~Red Cheek Reads

About the Author

She's published four novels so far. Blood Ties(PNR), Beautiful Lies, Saving Abel, Forgiving Gia and soon Luca. When she's not writing, you can find her with friends and family. She resides in Massapequa, NY with her two beautiful boys. Reading has always been a passion and obsession of hers. You can usually find her typing furiously while shouting obscenities over her latest WIP. Her guilty pleasures are: a good laugh, being snarky, espresso, Pistachio ice-cream, alternative music, sunflower seeds, I.P.A's, twizzlers, and above all steamy swooning angst filled novels. She's pathologically obsessed with anything to do with royals, Games of Thrones, White Queen, Vampire Diaries, Resurrection, SOA, The Vikings and The Originals. *****I was given an ARC from Gina Whitney (the author) in exchange for an honest review******

I honestly wish there was a way to give Forgiving Gia more than just a measly five stars, this book was THAT incredibly well written. Because in truth, it was written on a deeper level than Saving Abel was written. In Saving Abel, we met Gia and Abel and got to know them in a...for lack of a better word....in a very intimate way. The same cannot be said about Forgiving Gia, because this book was written for the reader to look past the physical and get to know Abel and Gia on a deeper, emotional, more meaningful level.

We literally pick up right where Whitney left us hanging--does anyone remember that sucker-punch to the gut cliffhanger? Gia is just devastated that Abel literally walked away from her, never once looking back as he boarded his private jet to Europe. Of course, I can't actually tell you what happens on that tarmac, that would just be mean, but I can tell you that Gia and Abel are brought back together. However, they must find a way to work past their extreme trust issues, their penchant for jumping to conclusions without first talking to the other, and they have to figure out if their relationship is more than just hot sex.

For me, Forgiving Gia was by far my favorite book, because you finally get an inside look at who the man behind the Dom is, and he's a fascinating creature. You get some of your questions answered, but it wouldn't be a true Gina Whitney book if she didn't raise more questions than answer them. I connected with Gia and Abel more in this book than I did in Saving Abel, mainly because they're forced to actually talk about their problems to one another and figure out ways to work around them.

My Rating: 4½☆

Gina Whitney continues Abel Gunner and Gia Mastro's story from Saving Abel in Forgiving Gia. I have to admit that I was fairly ambiguous about Saving Abel -- especially for most of the story. I just thought Abel and Gia were over the top with their reactions and responses to one another. I just didn't like them together. However, as the story evolved, I began to understand who they both were as we gleaned glimpses into their backgrounds. By the end of Abel, I was left speechless. Gia's past was a wreck and her mother, Medusa was loathable.

When Forgiving Gia opens, Gia has made a drastic decision -- she tries to end her life. She sees no future or life for herself since she has lost Abel after he discovers Gia's past. Gia is distraught and lost. But fate intervenes in the form of Abel's father and his friend Chance. Gia's life is turned on its ear as they hatch a plan to get Gia and Abel back together. And it this plan has to go into effect immediately because Abel is self-destructing and badly. Once Abel and Gia get back together, their relationship seems to change and this is where my feelings changed toward them. Abel and Gia are very sweet and endearing in this story. Abel lays his heart on the line and Gia turns her hurt and her past over to him. I really enjoyed seeing the evolution of their relationship and their love. But sadly, fate throws a lot of obstacles in their path. Addiction, jealousy, and attempted murder threaten to treat them apart. It was endearing to see how they worked through those challenges together.

The only small thing I did not "like" was the happy for now ending. I know...I know...I'm spoiled but I love my happily ever-afters. I desperately wanted that for Abel and Gia in Forgiving Gia but I'm so happy with how the story ended for them and can't wait to see what else Whitney has in store for them...something tells me we haven't seen the last of Medusa and Morganna -- hussies! LOL

Where do you even begin with this book? Saving Abel was a panty ripping story that pulled you in from word one, but Forgiving Gia...there are no words to describe this book. Amazing is the best I can come up with.

This book was such an emotional roller coaster ride...I could actually feel what the characters were feeling, and it gave great insight into the depth of the characters and just how much they had grown from book 1. I think I went through every emotion out there. From ugly crying, to elation, to pissed off...they all made an appearance. There were even moments I was concerned for the safety of my Ipad, for fear I might throw the thing out the window.

The way in which Gina is able to flawlessly pick up from the heart shattering conclusion of Saving Abel and just simply make the story flow as if there had never been a break was astonishing. You can always expect great story, great depth, lots of hot sex, foul language, earth shattering orgasms and great character depiction in Gina's work. I never walk away wishing that there was more insight to her characters. Gina gives you plenty of details about her main characters, Gia and Abel, and even the supporting characters to actually allow you to visually see the story take place before your eyes. It leaves you with a better ability to grasp how the characters ended up the way they did and why they are the way they are.

If you have not read Saving Abel, go get that first and then make sure you pick up your copy of Forgiving Gia. You will not regret it. Your nights will be full of Abel Gunner...and let me tell you...you wouldn't want it any other way!!!

Gina, this is some of the best work I have seen in a while and I am so happy for you. You did amazing and I look forward to the next in the series...NOW GET TO IT! :)
