Editorial Reviews

Review

"The Forgotten Exodus is a timely, thought-provoking and extremely useful little book by Bruce Fenton. And while it is not the only,or even the first, book to propose an "out-of-Australia" evolutionary origin for anatomically modern humans, it is by far the best. Indeed, it has the potential - although I cannot promise that this potential will be fulfilled- to rewrite history. Fenton's arguments, and the impressive body of evidence he has assembled, fly in the face of the very powerful - and for the most part uncontested and unexamined - scientific consensus that Homo sapiens evolved exclusively within the African continent and spread outwards from there within the last 70,000 years or so. Unquestioning acceptance of this"out-of-Africa" reference frame is to be found everywhere in the relevant scientific literature." - Graham Hancock, Internationally Bestselling Author of Magicians of the Gods, Fingerprints of the Gods, The Sign and the Seal

"Bruce Fenton's presentation of the into African theory challenges longstanding presuppositions in paleontology about the geographic diffusion of humans and their hominid ancestors. Through a clear as crystal exploration of the dating of the fossil record, Fenton constructs his case with lapidary precision. From existing research, Fenton reinterprets anomalies in the labyrinthine timeline of hominid evolution that suggest a new pattern in the diffusion of early hominids out of Africa and later hominids into Africa. Fenton's case beckons every reader intrigued by the origins of humanity to take a closer look at the preconceptions underlying the firmly established out of Africa theory for homo sapiens. Well worth reading and thinking about for along time to come. Highly recommended - five stars for such a clear-cut case for a fundamental theory that may reshape the scientific understanding of human evolution." - Michael Carmichael, Anthropologist, Archaeologist, Historian of Science and former Senior Presidential Campaign advisor to Dennis Kucinich

"Bringing together vast areas of research and the latest discoveries, the author questions everything we have been taught about human evolution and the subsequent populating of the world by modern humans. Turning the accepted paradigm on its head, Fenton provides us with a new model of human evolution and migration that demands attention." - New Dawn Magazine
.
So any time a book comes along and offers to upend a current paradigm, I'm inclined to pay attention. Now of course 80-90% of the people who write such books are cranks. But when someone does have a possibility of legitimacy, there are telltale signs. Bruce Fenton provides such signs when he says:

"Wherever possible, we focus on peer-reviewed scientific papers based on research guided by solid protocols, in almost all cases the scientific sources I have used can be considered mainstream authorities. There are a few instances where non-academics are my sources, but only where they offer unique insight into research that is itself accepted by the scientific community. The revised view of human origins on offer here is so radical that I could not risk undermining it by using potentially questionable sources, even where such sources appeared to provide a genuine revelation which would support this work."
Perry Marshall, Bestselling author of Evolution 2.0: Breaking the Deadlock Between Darwin and Design

From the Author

If there is one subject that interests us all it's our origin, our personal family story, the journey of our national group and inevitably the deeper shared human evolutionary journey. Everyone wants to know where we came from, how we got here and where we seem to be headed. I encounter few people that are not astonished to learn new facts about the astonishing human origins story of our species.

For too long the cutting edge of human evolutionary research has been the exclusive domain of battling cliques of academics, launching attacks on each other through dry and dull academic papers. The public at large has been excluded from the conversation and cheated from knowing the most recent version of the human story, now this is changing with the existence of this book. This one is for the people, it is written by me as a gift for you and your family. We all need to know the real story of our shared human origins.

This book is the only scientific human origins account tackling the cutting edge of research offered in a language the lay public can readily follow. Without bias towards any race, group, nationality or political leaning the text details merely what we know so far and in doing so displaces the current consensus paradigm.

I hope that with the release of this new story for humanities beginnings we may also change the next part of our story, using this new understanding to help us overcome the extreme adversities our species is currently facing. Let us be united by this new narrative of what makes us one people, one team that together can overcome and leave a better world for the generations still yet to be born.
