This is also not a one-time read. It is a powerful message that will need to be heard over and over again. My son will eventually know this book by heart.
and beautifully illustrated book.
I highly recommend it to ALL parents, grandparents and uncles/aunts
and of course to all young readers to help them accept the message.
I'm suppose to talk to her teacher to read to the class. MacKenzie told her teacher I know someone famous who wrote a book. She was telling a troubled boy in her class, that he was a treasure because her mommy knew someone famous who helps people. Whatever upset him, he threw went all over this classroom. My daughter said it's ok Fred (fake names of course) my mommy knows that you are a treasure. She said that her mom met someone in school who was famous and she helps kids (she goes to play therapy and forensic therapist). She calmed him down when he hit his mom, and told his grandpa "don't make me hit you too" they've been in school together since 2 years old. He settled down, my daughter said let me help you. I was not there but was tols the next day. We stretch to have her in a christan private school dor her even though we are atypical of private school stereotypes So the prissy private school mom's started asking me about the book. MacKenzie may be Teiv's Marketing director. So I'll be reading to the class next week.
