5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing

A fascinating story that combines an interesting historical situation alongside a modern one that bears uncanny similarities. I loved diving from the Tudor times with the story of Amy Robstart, the wife of Robert Dudley, Queen Elizabeth’s special companion to the modern character of Lizzie whose life and own personal history is not unlike Queen Elizabeth’s. A modern day scandal engulfs Lizzie and we find her having to prove her innocence and to help the Robstart family with its losses.
An absolute page turner, with parts of the storyline that really took me by surprise.
A great historical fiction story that was thrilling and exciting to read too.
I’m definitely coming back to read more from this fantastic author!
