About the Author
I’ve always loved to read, devouring books the way some might a box of chocolates. It wasn’t long before I thought of my own stories to write, which turned me to like-minded people. I joined writing groups, attended seminars and conferences, and served, for many years, on the board of a local writing chapter.
The bumps in life’s road derailed me for some years and my creativity took other outlets. I dug out knitting needles and crochet hooks, and as my grandmother had done, passed this knowledge along to my own granddaughter. My daughter and I learned to scrapbook and spent many a day enjoying the craft together. Generations of farmers before me inspired me to see what I planted thrive. Most recently I’ve learned to quilt. Something else I share with numerous family members
More than half my life has been lived in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon, where my grandchildren flourish in their own pursuits. Last year I moved to Maine, home of my birth, setting of most of my books, and am currently living on what was my great-grandfather’s farm. This has allowed me to re-connect with much of my family as well as make new friends. Each day is a new adventure and I eagerly look forward to the next, whether it be something I experience, something I read, or the next I write.
