Needing a brief but precise eformatting guide, I decidedto write my own as I didn't want to wade through a 100-page book todo something that is relatively simple. This little guide is the result. I hope you find it helpful.
About the Author
Geraldine Evans is a Londoner but moved to Norfolk in2000. She has been writing since her twenties, but it was only when shehit the milestone age of thirty that she actually began finishinganything. She then wrote a novel a year for six years before she waspublished. That first published novel was a romance, but she thenswitched to crime and DEAD BEFORE MORNING,
the first book in what became her now 15-strong Rafferty & Llewellyn cozy procedural series
, wastaken from Macmillan's slush pile and published. They sold it in turn to St Martin's Press and Worldwide (pb).
And thus began a writingcareer covering eighteen traditionally-published novels and twoindie-published. Geraldine Evans decided to turn down her publisher'slatest contract late in 2010 after reading various blogs (Joe Konrath's, in particular) about self-publishing.
