𝕊𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖: Salomé Gritt has loved Chris Harbors for as long as she can remember—but it’s the epitome of unrequited love. He’s her brother’s best friend and ten years her senior—she’s forever the little girl he calls Snot.
Chris loves Sal like a sister and can barely remember a time without her in his life, but when his newest relationship starts to get serious, he finds himself drifting far away from Sal.
Sadly, tragedy strikes and Sal is sent in to help Chris cope with the fallout. Will their forced proximity and shared pain bring them together or tear them apart for good?
𝕊𝕖𝕩 𝕊𝕔𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕤: These two burn SO HOT. Maybe it’s the anticipation that sets us up for it, but their intensity when they finally give in is BLAZING. Both of them are comfortable in their sexuality and with each other, which definitely sets the tone. Definitely 🔥🔥🔥🔥.5/5 for heat, variety, dirty talk, and frequency!
【$】: FREE in KU! This book is second in a series, but can be read as a stand-alone . I was cautious going into this book because Sal had formed a reputation in book one—but holy crap. This book will open your eyes to the reality that there are so many unknown sides to a story, passing judgement is usually a bad idea, and that love comes in SO MANY forms. This book will send you on an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s an utterly beautiful and breathtaking ride.
This is Salomé’s story. We met her before in Heartbroken, as she’s Aaron’s little sister. Since she’s a little girl she had a crush on Chris, her big brother’s best friend. Later in life she falls in love with him, and simply never falls out of love for him, even tho he doesn’t reciprocate.
Chris, Aaron’s best friend, 10 years older than Sal, or Snot like he lovingly calls her. Always there to console her, simply be there for her as a best friend / big brother does. Never realizing what she feels for him.
Until one event changes everything in everyones life.
You might have realized that the author recently changed her tag line in Real Raw Romantic. This is so absolutely fitting!! The first half of the book wrecked me. The next 25% were the real part for me, and the last 25% the romantic part.

I absolutely loved this book. It made me feel so much, I wanted to jump in the book to shake all characters and slap them upside the head! I hurt so much for Sal, Chris and all others.
𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘺, 𝘐’𝘮 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘸.
But I also loved the conclusion. And how all our favorite people from the other books made an appearance and helped meddling!
This might be all a little vague for you, but I cannot say more, as I do not want to spoiler. But this book is definitely a MUST READ!!
Please be aware of the trigger warning the author posted in the disclaimer in the front of the book!
So I’m not telling you anything about the story line besides it’s a brothers best friend story with complicated twists that spans many years. The sex scenes are gorgeous, demanding, and maybe a little adventurous-since I know you need to know that!
Instead I wanted to share the things that grabbed my heart and made this my new favorite of Gab’s books.
❤️ I think that we’ve all been in that moment that we’re holding our hand out hoping to be picked, to be loved and have been rejected.
❤️ Grief and loss are different and on different time lines for every person and there are things that you’ll never know the answer to and maybe you don’t really need that answer.
❤️ Caring so deeply for someone and making their life easier while they unknowingly hurt you.
❤️Sometimes the most intimate moments are not the sex scenes
I will tell you that this book will touch on some difficult things and if grief or sudden loss is a trigger point for you then maybe not for you.
There is a bisexual nature to the characters and I feel like it’s beautifully written and sensitive to that lifestyle. There’s no cheating or triangle business. And you will get your HEA but you’re going to suffer for it. You can read this as a stand alone but for the best experience I would read Heartbroken so you understand the family dynamics.
Salomé is in love with her brother's best friend and her protector.
Two people who have always had feelings for each other but never go the next step in sharing these feelings until a tragic incident brings everything together. Secrets are discovered and having to find your inner self comes a lot harder then they think.
Full of situations that are all so real and raw. That’s the uniqueness with Gabrielle’s writing, it makes you feel so much and the realism of it is like a painting.
I recommend if you would like to start this series, start with Heartbroken if you would like to understand the family dynamics.
Can’t wait for Barnabas Story!
