Great book! An engaging story that is thought provoking as it explores delicate situations. The characters are well developed and layered in such a way that you want to know more. Cannot wait for the second book in the series to see what happens to Grace and Alex!

I really loved this book! Alexander Cole is such an interesting, vulnerable character, and the way he interacts with Grace will definitely keep you turning the page. They have instant chemistry, and I was so intrigued by every little secret that took time to slowly unfold. Highly recommend for fans of E L James and Jamie McGuire.

Forsaken grabs your attention quickly! The story reveals a complex (and yes Sexy) relationship between Alex and Graciella and suggests a more complicated connection with others involved and the past. The author treats the reader to peeks into the personalities and lives of the characters and yet a shroud of mystery keeps the reader desiring more. And more is revealed, then bang! When can we read the next book?

Alexander has kept to himself for years. He doesn't look at himself as he once did. His world is thrown into chaos when he meets Grace.

Grace has her own reasons for being in Maine. Her Mother is gone, has left her house to Grace, but Grace still doesn't understand why her Mom left her family behind.

Alexander and Grace feel the pull of one another the first time they meet. Alexander is reluctant to get close to Grace and Grace isn't letting anything out about her family either. Grace can see Alexander is keeping something back, but she doesn't understand how devastating this secret is.

Both characters are trying to move forward and find it hard to share their pasts with the other. When Alexander's secret is told to Grace, she doesn't know what to do, so she goes home to her Dad.

Once she realizes her true feelings for Alexander she needs to go back and be who she needs to be for them both.

Alexander's self doubt is felt with his isolation he has brought upon himself. You can feel the shame and humiliation that plagues him. You can understand why he has isolated himself. His loss is felt when Grace comes back and he finally opens up to her and tells her himself. The amount of courage it takes for him to open up is overwhelming.

Grace is out of her comfort zone, but you can feel her becoming a young woman who is finally ready to face her own past.

Both characters have walls built around them, but slowly you can see the walls tumbling down. Each one has been hurt and betrayed. They both have demons from their past and their growth from within is evident with every page in this story. You will be rooting for both of them to endure the pain of their past and move on to being who they are now.

Grace Snow is stunned to find that the mother who left when she was 7 has passed away and left her a house in Maine. Grace has no idea why her mother left, so she heads to Maine to see if she can find the answers she so desperately wants. When she gets there she finds the house in need of serious repairs and upgrades so she hires a local construction company to get the job done.
Alexander Cole is a bit of a mystery. He keeps to himself and he throws himself into his work and he plans to keep things the way they are. That is until he comes face to face Grace. He does his best to stay away from her but he is finding it impossible.
It doesn’t take long before the two come together, but Alex has a secret and it’s a big secret, he knows that if Grace ever finds out she won’t want to be with him but that doesn’t stop him from being with her. Grace can see that there is something going on with Alex but he won’t open to her and it’s causing them serious issues in their relationship. Things come to a head when the pair are jumped in an alley outside of an art museum and Alex’s past starts to come to light.

This is a good mystery. There are secrets around every corner. Alex and Grace have some serious issues to over-come and of course there's the question of Grace's mom. I am anxious to see how everything plays out. I am looking forward to seeing Alex and Grace move forward in their relationship.
