it wouldn't have been nearly so fun ~ or as upbeat in the truly terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days/times/years...
The kid I bought it for loved it almost as much, and perhaps he will look back in 40 years with the same excitement.
It's a classic and a nice way to get the message of looking at the brighter side of things to a kid.
