It was a good story. Sissie had much compassion and was so glad she might save his life. She was still grieving the loss of her family and the fact that she had nothing but an adventurous mind and hopes. I think you will enjoy this one and hour teenagers could read it as well. I recommend this lovely tale.
I'm deducting a star because I didn't find the ending completely satisfying.... If he's a valet and she's a housemaid, they would have different hours and he would travel with the earl. AND, as an educated daughter of a gentleman, she's way over qualified to be a housemaid. She should have been promoted to lady's maid or governess (in an epilogue), or maybe she and Grace would start their own baking business together. Something that would have created a more satisfying ending, IMO.
** Clean romance with only kissing.
I would have given 5 stars if the love story had not been so rushed. There were little interaction between the couple before the love was confessed. But that aside - when they talked their connection was deep, personal and believable. You truly felt their struggle.
