I purchased this to use with my speedlite flash bracket, and I love it. It is super affordable and really sturdy. The only thing I found peculiar is the quarter inch screw on the top of the stand, so that you could screw in your camera or speedlite stand. I have never seen this on a light stand before, and was a bit worried that my flash bracket will not properly screw on due to the extra height.
All my worries faded and the stand worked as great as it was advertised, maybe even exceeding the expectations.
Would definitely buy another one someday.

All things considered this is a pretty good light stand for the price. My only minor complaints are:

1.) it's a little stiff which makes it hard to open and close the tripod legs.
2.) The tripod head could be a little better quality. When I screwed an umbrella/flash holder bracket to the top, the screws from the bracket actually gouged the aluminum on the top of the light stand. Aluminum is a pretty soft metal so maybe if they had used a harder material it might not have been an issue. I solved the problem by putting an old t-shirt over top of the lightstand head before screwing the bracket onto it. That way there is something to keep it from making direct contact.

overall...it's a pretty good lightstand...for the price.

no way this can go outside the studio. in the studio it is very limited. use with care or broken it will be. will support flash gun, has a standard tripod screw ONLY. and no head adjustment at all. that's left to your gun. only diffusers I've used are on flash; snoots, boxes, gates. worked okay. don't know about any off flash but I'd be careful. for the price about what you'd expect.

This light stand is more than I expected for the price -- spring-loaded vertical sections, quite sturdy, and smooth operation. The tripod legs are attached to the braces with rivets, which may not be the longest-lasting construction, but for moderate use it should be fine. The top has both a conventional straight section for a clamp attachment as well as a standard threaded section, so you can also use a ball head or whatever else fits on a camera tripod. The one caveat is that the stated dimensions and weight are wrong. The dimension is obviously not 1 x 1 x 1 inch (it's probably a couple of inches wide when folded down), and the weight is more than 1 pound. Nonetheless, it's a very serviceable item at a good price.

Solid and easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and how easy and quick it was to set up. However, it is not as compact and light as I was hoping it would be. I would buy again.

It's really lightweight and flimsy but it's good enough to hold my Yongnuo flash. I am soon going to buy an American C-stand to hold my entire speed light + 30' octo-softbox rig. But this stand was not bad for like ten bucks.

This lighting stand is PERFECT for what I needed. I am a beginner at studio photography and wanted something to get started. This is a great ilght stand that I would recommend to anyone. It is very well made and seems like it's going to last a long time.

I travel on planes a bit and need to keep my checked luggage light and these are lighter than the older aluminum pic stands I've been using for years. Cheaply made, but should hold up if you take good care of 'em. They are a bit tight on the legs, but that should loosen with time.
