By mounting the lens backward on a camera body, you can create amazing macro images. It is extremely fun to turn you lens into a macro lens.

Cons: There is no locking mechanism for the camera side. This makes me very nervous when I'm mounting a $800 + dollar lens on there and when screwing it on the lens starts to unscrew from the adapter. If you are careful you can do it and keep both fairly snug. But then you run into the situation I did. It bound to my nice 70-300mm and I had to take a set of pliers to it to get it undone. This created a lot of burs on it so it will take some work to make it usable again. The threads on the lens and adapter are extremely fine so binding them is really easy.
Other thoughts: I will probably buy another one or two and just use them on my sub $300 lenses and just be super careful when attaching them. For the price I'm willing to live with some of the shortcomings of the adapter. There are definitely better ones on the market, but they are definitely more expensive.
