This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.
Set your exposure manually or meter using your camera's Aperture Priority (stop-down) mode.
If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, it will stop down to its smallest f/stop by default.

I would suggest these adapters, for their price and availability.
Instead, I tried this one: Beschoi Lens Mount Adapter, Contax Yashica C/Y Lens to Canon EOS EF Adapter, for Canon EOS 1D, 1DS, Mark II, III, IV, 5D, Mark II, 7D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 60D, 70D, Digital Rebel T2i, T3, T3i, T4i, T5i which works like a charm.
I had used T-mount adapter with Pentax body and Telescope to capture planets and moon and knew matching adapters would work.
Hence purchase Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter for Contax Yashica C/Y Lens to Canon EOS body.
Adapter is solid all metal, minus any sensor part, since my Zeiss lens is manual, I did not opt for another model which is with sensor to detect lens and its profile. Iam happy with manual focus.
Fits onto lens and 6D body like breeze and have read reviews as how customer have had hard time to dismount adapter from lens, I think its all exaggerated a bit ( my views).
There's a metal clip on adapter which when mounted on lens would fit in the notch with 'click' sound. To dismount, this small clip needs a little push with rotation of adapter and 'voila', adapter is dismounted.

One thing to note, on my Canon T2i, the camera doesn't 'recognize' that there is a lens mounted and will tell me so. It's not a functional problem. I just have to exit the notification screen and carry on using it anyway. Everything still works as it should.
One user had suggested getting one for each lens you want to use. I think that if you work with any sort of speed, this is crucial as it really is a tight fit, so it can take little bit of time to get it off to move to another lens-- not major time, just enough that it could spoil a moment of opportunity if you're in the middle of switching. I got a couple to match a couple of my lenses and was very glad I did.
Very easy to use, but trick to remove the C/Y lens off. Some people suggest using a screwdriver or some tool, but that risks damaging the ring or worse, the lens. I find using my thumbnail to be sufficient.
I upgraded to the AF-confirm adapter. Even with an Eg-S screen I can't rely on my vision. :(
