Would give a 5 star rating BUT:
The lid creates a suction and is impossible to drink out of, even when open. Not sure if the one we got is just flawed, but it looks like the air-displacement hole either doesn't line up or wasn't drilled through all the way. I attached a photo of the hole-in-question. Hopefully others haven't experienced the same problem!
Pros: I was very impressed by the nice stainless steal interior and the functionality and realisim of the lense's-cup's zoom feature! Also the over all quality of the cups design. This was worth the price of admission here.
Pros: a great conversation starter and peace especially for techno Geeks!
Cons: The bottom has what seems to be a dust cap that ships with every real lens. It is removable and I thought what a great gag it would be if I mounted the Lens Cup to my Nikon DSLR 5100 and demonstrated the zoom feature...then removed it from the camera body and took a drink! It seems like that was the idea here as there is a what appears to be a bayonet mount revealed below the cap. But it does not fit my DSLR 5100. So there is no way to attach the lens cup to my digital camera body. A dissapointment! I guess it allows to make the surface area of the bottom of the cup larger, so that it is not as top heavy ( as easy to tip over) as it is with the bottom dust cap in place. Also the cups top is fairly wide and screws onto the cup. Physically it looks like a Nikon lens cap but it is a bit of a giveaway that it says "LenZcup" on the top. Also the lid/lens cap is designed and looks just like a Nikon pinch to remove lens cap. Awesome design detail! But the con here is funtionality of a to go coffee cup containing a hot spillable and staining coffee inside! You have to completely unscrew the lid to take a drink! This leaves a fully loaded disaster at the ready to happen..... to splash about all over your cars interior and or your suit and tie! A better design idea guys....still make the the top/cap removable, incase you want to eat soup and or wash the cup, but take one of the pinch ears that you've molded into the lens cap design and make it a flip tab so now the lens cap/ lid serves as a sippy non-spill removable lid! I know you can't please all of the people all of the time! No charge for the design improvment idea ....just send me one of the newly designed lids!
Im personally planning on taking this on a cruise with me to carry around alcohol with no one being the wiser. Ill just go to a private place to freshen up my ordinary, bland, soda. Seems like a fairly decent product.
