Verified Purchase

This book if a great reference on the thinking of the Founding Father on the government they created. Martin Diamond was one of the formost experts on this particular topic. A recommended reading if you want to learn about how the constitution was formed and what were the thoughts of the founders.

I'm sorry, but this book doesn't serve a purpose in my opinion. It isn't bad, it isn't written poorly, and it is researched well and it is very accurate that being said, what is the point?

For me, I am a political scientist, I had to read this book in one of my classes, but it served no point. Everything you would learn in this book should be taught to you by the time you finish 5th grade.

There are only two possible purposes I can see this book being used for, 1. You are about to teach a class on this subject to 5th graders, and want a refresher, or 2. You are not from the United States, and want to know more about this subject and the history of how the United States was created.
