If you have enjoyed other comix from Peter Bagge in the past you will have fun with this volume about 18th century American history as told with an edge that was never found in your 8th grade American History textbook. Peter, is the best out there doing graphic work today and many in the field of comix have been aware of that fact for many years now. This is the work of a nerd that reads and soaks up information in great quantities and we are very lucky that Peter finds inspiration in his history books and presents his art to us in this manner. I understand that most folks want to play video games and go see the next superhero movie in 3D at the Melga-Dome and not read a history book in their lifetime. Facts is facts, and in 2017 we don't get many facts at all as the world is now a crazy reality show that never ends.
I like this book and (so far) Peter Bagge has never let me down as an artist and as a storyteller.
This is a cool book with wacky illustrations from a comix master.
Four & 1/2 Stars!
I haven't seen the Hamilton show on Broadway but I'd be surprised if it all showed the dopey side to the man.
