About the Author
Terry Martin was raised on the writings of Robert A. Heinlein and that school of science fiction. He has dabbled with writing for years and now follows his father and brother as a science-fiction novelist. Residing in Northern Virginia with his wife and two cats, two bunnies, and a beta who goes by the moniker "blue alien dog", he busies himself in writing the sequels to this adventure.

The action begins immediately! This time around, the author avoids a descriptive prelude entirely: we're chucked right onto the saddle and the race to the end is on. I don't believe there's a single chapter in this book where the pace could be accurately described as, 'slow.'
Metaphysical issues are explored in somewhat greater depth even while the action continues apace. Character abilities, as established in book one, are honed and refined. While the core characters were clearly teenagers in the first book, through their adventures and experiences, in that book and this one, they clearly have become men and women -- young yet, certainly; but also wiser and duly concerned for the consequences of their actions.
A commercial endeavor is begun in this book and is a plot 'string' not at all tied off. I hope that means a third book in this series will soon be forthcoming.
