Just as with Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead is not for everyone. It is for those who are deep thinkers and are open to a different way of thinking. This work will likely resonate with entrepreneurs, as well as other creative, individualists who have created something from nothing. Beyond the noted depth of the ideas presented by Ayn Rand there is a truly engaging story on the surface with as little or as much depth as you would like to take the time to consider.
The Fountainhead is an excellent book and well worth your time.
My not so positive comments are 1) that she describes sex just short of a cheap novel, and 2) that she completely ignores a crucial part of the human experience, which is bearing and raising children. If one is to present a compelling philosophy as to how the human experience should be, ones books should address the matter of raising worthy individuals.
