Esther invited Percy and Lucy to go to the opera house with her and Jack, the Duke of Kendal. Lucy jumped in excitement to be going to the opera with Percy.
She enjoyed being there with him.
She doesn't know when her friendship turned into be attracted to him sexually. Maybe it was because of Christmas, and that is when her sisters fell in love.
He finally admitted to her that he had feelings for her and wanted her. She didn't know that he had feelings for her all along as a man and a woman, not just friends.
I found this story one of the sweetest ones so far. Friendship to lovers forever.

The following are my thoughts as I read this book. Ahhh this one is about Lucy Fitzroy…a London Fitzroy, unmarried, excited for once that the Christmas holidays would be without drama or scandal. I like the interaction between the sisters. Percy Ardingley…A viscount, an old and close friend of the Fitzroy family, an unmarried gentleman. Ahhh this has the makings of friends to lovers, let us see. Uh oh I think the night on the town is not going to end well. I was right! A hint of another romance is found in the story. Conversations are replayed by the h often. Sometimes the MC are their own worst enemy. Eyebrows raised. I’m not sure how I should feel about the h, she is just so extra. LOL I cannot stop laughing at the h’s thought patterns. I always like friends to lovers and this was an adorable and funny little story. Yes there is steamy steam.

There are three Fitzroy brothers, each with different interests, each the father of daughters, twelve in total. Arthur Fitzroy has six daughters, three of whom have married. It’s the holiday season of 1817. This story is about Lucy and Percy. They have been friends forever, but this Christmas things seem different somehow. After years of being best friends, it appears these two might have fallen in love. Their declarations to each other are sweet and humorous, and their chemistry sizzles. Phooeeee, this is a good story, and I enjoyed the overlap with Esther’s story. The story is charming and the characters are wonderful. It is a delightful addition to the series.

This Fitzroy family story is basically about Lucy and her best childhood friend Percy.
We follow her through the growing stages of realizing that she has fallen deeply in love with her best friend but there are fears that he doesn't feel the same about her.
A short, charming romance develops but just because I say charming does not mean it is without some adult passion.
A very nice addition this holiday series.

I enjoyed this bright, engaging friends to lovers romance. Lucy and Percy are firm childhood friends and the underlying desire and awakening of feelings was well written. Love is definitely calling for Lucy and Percy. They quickly make it to the bedchamber and their happy ending.
