About the Author
Gary Furlong grew up in Wexford, Ireland. Throughout his life he has worn many a hat: He has worked as a teacher in Niigata, Japan; a puppeteer in Prague; an improv artist in Memphis, Tennessee; and as a singer and actor all over Ireland. He started narrating audiobooks in late 2015 and hasn't looked back. Gary has narrated over fifty books spanning various genres. The recipient of an AudioFile Earphones Award, he specializes in accents and dialect, with fluency in Irish, British RP, and Standard American. He now lives in Texas with his wife and their golden retriever called Gansey, which means Sweater in Irish Gaelic.
Cornell Collins was a hippie, a mod, a punk, a new-romantic, and a new-waver. Now, he proudly calls himself newly middle aged. Considering life to have been better in the 70s and 80s, he finds his cell phone too big and heavy and wants to smash the TV (much as a rock star in the 70s would have), except TVs don't explode anymore when you do that . . . and they're a whole lot more expensive to replace. Narrating audiobooks has shown Cornell that life in the modern world can, in some ways, be just as good, and he has found a peace in telling stories. His life partner (children of the 70s don't get married) and daughter are very patient and much cleverer than he is. --This text refers to the audioCD edition.

This book picks up where book one left off, and ends on a cliffhanger- of the “what now?” sort.
Verity is getting used to her new identity as the fifth horseman- but she has no idea how to channel her powers. With the help of the four, she is determined to figure out who she is and what she can do.
This is another quick read in this series- and actually a little shorter than the page count because there is an “extra” short story at the end.
We learn a little more about the world Verity now inhabits, as well as her abilities, but she is still learning a lot… and although we see a little romantic action in this volume, it’s limited.
An enjoyable serialized RH paranormal romance/fantasy for fans of the genre.
Last we heard in Legacy, Verity, or Vee as we now call her, didn’t handle hearing the truth about her background too well, but, it’s not taking her too long to calm down and start processing. Life doesn’t operate on one plane anymore, and there’s more than just humans walking around in society.
Also, sharing the house with four blokes that are ethereally handsome just isn’t Vee’s ‘normal’, and initially, she thinks her reaction when she’s close to the four of them at once is the physical attraction of a female to four ‘insanely’ hot guys, but it seems to be more than that, there’s flashes of some reaction she can’t yet understand. Not only that, they’re expecting her to hit the ground running, but their explanations are distinctly lacking, and there’s no fifth horse man handbook to be seen anywhere either!
Bound is also where we finally get to hear from the guys. How are each of them handling the partnership that Vee is meant to have as part of a demon slaying team. Well, hot men attracted to a gorgeous woman who has no sense of her own self worth – I’m waiting for some meltdown somewhere. And each of them acknowledge the sexual tension they can feel when they’re with her. Only the rules are ... there’s no rulebook, so each of them are doing the best the can to navigate the way forward.
As they try to find out what the demons are up to, why the lines of previous alliances are crossed, and why the Fae Queen was attacked in her own home, it all comes down to this: she’s the centre of their strength, or she is their strength. The End.
Until they all realise there’s more to it than that. 4.5 Stars.
The grammar/writing mistakes greatly improved in this novel, happy to see better editing. I do have to say I am already annoyed with the cat thing, I still can't believe people gave LJ crap for it after the last book, forcing her to add a scene about it and apologize. I guess its hard to complain when that is the major issue people have with the book, but come on people!
Can't wait for October when hopefully we get some answers regarding that ominous ending in Bound. I hope Vee reveals what really happened to her at the club to the others, I think they will understand better her actions and behaviors and come to respect her more. I also can't wait to see what other creatures LJ introduces/the 5 encounter next. Should be an exciting read <3
