Every so often, it does Christians good to stand back from the four Gospels and get a sense of how the whole story might work as a continuous narrative. Nikola Dimitrov has done a remarkable service in producing this compilation of all four Gospels so that the reader can feel the full impact of the unique and explosive story they tell.(N.T. Wright, former Bishop of Durham (England), Professor of Testament and Early Christianity, University of St. Andrews 2017-05-10)
There have been other attempts to harmonize the four Gospels through parallel and chronological accounts, but The Four in One Gospel of Jesus is a true synthesis that clearly integrates all the Gospel material in an accessible and easy-to-read format. This is a welcome resource for all who wish to encounter the person and work of Jesus in a freshly engaging way. I will add this volume to my own devotional readings.(Kenneth Boa, Reflections Ministries, Atlanta, GA; Ph.D., New York University; D.Phil., University of Oxford, England)
About the Author
During his 22 years of full time ministry, Nikola Dimitrov has served the Lord as a pastor, Bible teacher, preacher and educator in the Body of Christ. He started his first church in 1994, which is still standing today, and in 1998 started his traveling ministry. The two new church groups he is leading now, in two different regions, were established a year ago, starting with only Nikola's family members, and they are both growing fast, influencing their respective regions with the Gospel. They are both part of the "Life in Glory" network of churches in Bulgaria (www.lifeinglory.org). Nikola is one of the translators and editors of Vetil Media Ministry, devoted to publishing progressive Christian literature in the Bulgarian language. The ministry has translated and published more than 30 books. Within that context, Nikola publishes Christian children's literature as well, because no matter what revival we experience, if we don’t invest in the next generation―our children―all will be lost in 30-40 years. Ever since Nikola gave his life to Christ, the Lord has kept on his heart the desire to write a chronological life of the Lord Jesus as a single narrative in an easy-to-read format. Some who would never read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in sequence in the Bible might read the story of the life of Jesus in one volume. This was not intended to be a substitute for the four Gospels, but rather, an accessible key to understanding the four biblical perspectives in one contextual setting. To prepare for this work, Nikola gathered materials from the most respected Bible encyclopedias, dictionaries, and concordances, Bible charts, tables, timelines and online publications. He studied theological works, debates, chronological tables and other attempts at a similar study, including the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, The Interlinear Bible, The Strong's Concordance, Dake's Annotated Reference Bible, e-Sword Bible software, Charles Templeton's New Testament in Modern Speech, Aaron Bible University chronological Bible, The Bulgarian Orthodox Bible's chronological tables, and many others. His study and work, as well as that of his team of professionals both in Bulgaria and in the USA, continued for more than 10 years of word-for-word analysis, leading finally to The Four in One Gospel of Jesus, published by Nordskog Publishing in 2017. Nikola is married to his beautiful wife and co-worker in the Lord’s field, Helen, and they have two amazing teenage girls: Annie (which means grace) and Mikaela (which means Who is like God?). Both are part of Nikola and Helen's ministry, serving in the area of music.
