Jase and Juliette have been in love since they were kids, horrific and devastatingly tragic events take place ripping them from each others lives. Six years later a series of revengeful events have brought them back together. They still love each other, but it may not be enough to keep either of them safe or alive.
Lili does an amazing job of drawing you in to the story and making you feel every last emotion of the characters. I quickly became addicted to this series, reading each book on release day, in a matter of hours. Lili never disappoints and always leaves you wanting MORE!!
OMG this book is so messed up in such a deliciously perfect way. I really enjoyed the fact that this book was very much about Julz and Jase. About revelations and answered questions.
Julz seemed reckless and out of control in this one. I really felt for her. She's so done emotionally, but she HAS to finish what she set out to do.
And that ending.
I'm pretty sure everyone who has reached the ending of this book has flipped out. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
Juliette has been to hell and back, and after years of plotting her revenge she thinks she has finally succeeded. Only to find out that Dornan has survived, and is in a coma. I swear nothing can kill this guy!!
Jace thought he lost her forever, and still has nightmares about her death.
In this installment of Gypsy Brothers, Jace discovers that Sammie is Juliette and what her plan is for his brothers and father. Jace and Juliette have to over come a lot and learn to trust each other again.
Watching these two together, trying to navigate the past, hurt and doubt was fantastic.
There isn’t much left to say without giving away any spoilers, which I would never do because this series is amazing and I want everyone to read it. I will say that this was my favorite so far in the series.
The ending…Holy effing crap batman!!!
After the aftermath of her last strike, the moment where Jase realizes that the girl he loved all those years ago was still alive. The battle he fought with the idea that she kept it a secret from him, the realization that he has her now – that he still loves her... but clouded in the reality that she slept (willingly) with his father and is responsible for the deaths of his brothers... it all comes to a head. But Jase also has to contend with Elliot, the man who saved her all those years ago – the one that did what Jase wasn’t able to do. Learning the reason why Elliot left her all those years ago left me conflicted over what would happen with these three. But I didn’t have long to ponder those thoughts as Sammi finds herself in a situation that has zero escape.
All I can say is thank goodness I am reading this long after its release and not having to wait for part five to be released. This installment was far more emotionally gripping as Jase discovers the truth. Although the rape and subsequent elements of this story were hard to reads at time, I didn’t feel ruined, she was detached as she told those parts and that allowed me some distance as the reader as well. But there was no distance with Jase and his pain. You could feel both the relief of her being alive and the fear as to what was to come. But with this story, you see how sloppy she became in her quest. And that sloppiness is bound to show her just how much more suffering is in store for her.
This series is utterly addicting. I had no idea that when I started with book one that I’d be reading through each one without a moment pause between the stories. Lili’s twisted tale has shifted into a dark romance, where although you sensed the love story the entire time, you weren’t focused on it. The idea that just as these two are finding each other again, that it is all going to be ripped from their hands – well, that just made this story so much better – more dynamic. I hadn’t really realized that I wasn’t really hoping for a happy reunion, I wanted it – but I stayed focused on her plan of revenge. But as soon as there was a chance, I realized just how much I wanted it. Then the way this one ends, well it sort of destroyed that happy cloud I found myself on. Lili gave us a taste then took it all away.
