There was so hype to this book and I didn't read the reviews. MISTAKE. The authors don't know know enough about writing to tell the difference between a series and serial novels. A two-book series is like a trilogy. Two books, each complete stories with a story arc tying them together. NOT A CLIFFHANGER!
The first book goes around in circles with no point. There are some mild teases but nothing really happens. If I hadn't been laid up, I wouldn't have read it all. i wish I hadn't. It wasn't worth the time or energy waiting for something to happen. And definitely not worth 4-bucks to go read more of the same.
In the end we have to wait for book 2 to find out if love can concur all or if the evil stepmother has something up her sleeve.
This is the lowest rating I have given any book. The book goes on and on, without a real storyline, then one hour left in the book you get to the meat of the book. There are sexual teases but nothing really happens. I was not fond of the back and forth from Mila’s diary entries to the current day. Though the book ends with a cliffhanger I will not read the second book.
