From the Author

I wrote this book having been inspired many years ago by the film Dracula, that Francis Ford Coppola made. That got me into writing vampire fiction! Having said that, I felt there Dracula was both sexy and romantic, yet capable of demonic deeds! What a combo! Right up my alley, to use a cliche. Why not write a book depicting Dracula as he is shown to be in the novel Stoker wrote? Now, he has the ability to look handsome, but he is Dracula as written in my novel.         .I read and then studied the novel. I wrote around the action in the novel, Dracula, that is I elaborated on events, I did not change them! I gave him a love life and had him explain about his living life. There is interest on the part of many readers, I found in Dracula. Many want to know more about him. That is what I sought to do in this novel.I write dark paranormal and Gothic romance as well as dark horror. The Gothic romantic fiction I write is combined with horror. This fiction is replete with tortured vampires, passionate sex and feeding. I believe vampires are wanton, highly sexual creatures and I depict them that way. Having said that, they are capable of deeply felt emotions. They are complex creatures. There are good and bad among them as there are among all beings..With regard to the horror, it tends to be contemporary. I have all sorts of monsters, some human and some human-like. Serial killers, monstrous beings inside, don't necessarily look like what they are. That to me, is most scary..Creativia has just released by latest book, a novel based on the infamous Blood Countess, Erzsebat Bathory who held absolute power in 16th Century Hungary. She was a sexual sadist and predator. That book was a challenge to write, but I love challenges!
Thank you for reading this. I hope you will check out my writing!
