What the book is about - When U.S. Marine, Tyler, comes home on medical leave, he's in for a surprise from Pam, the woman he's never forgotten. At her revelation of an unexpected secret, can he handle her deception, even if she claims it was for all the right reasons?
Trusting and forgiving won't be easy, but the alternative means missing out on a precious reward. Tyler's met and conquered tough situations before as a Marine. This particular personal one requires a huge leap of faith. Is he up for the challenge?
Pam has loved Tyler ever since she met him and she hadn't wanted him to not go into the Marines like he had always wanted. If he had known she was pregnant, he would never have gone or he would have gone and worried while he was gone. He was an honorable man and would have done the honorable thing. But, now, Pam had to explain why she hadn't told him about their son, Kyle. Would he ever be able to forgive her and would he want to be a part of Kyle's life.
My one criticism of this story was the descriptive sex scene. It was completely unnecessary and detracted from the story, in my opinion.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
This is a very sweet story with rather believable characters and I really enjoyed it.
There’s great chemistry between hero and heroine (Tyler and Pam).
Tyler, a Marine recovering from injuries, is honorable and tender. Pam is strong and very matter-of-fact. Her inner dialogue is laced with humor, I really enjoyed that part.
An important secret/situation is solved reasonably.
There’s a good cast of secondary characters.
And the writing was very good, the story flows effortlessly and it’s a pleasure to read.
