Get ready to go a little bit country with Disney's all-new motion picture THE FOX AND THE HOUND 2. The music of today's hottest stars is center stage in this classic tale of friendship and loyalty. Tod and Copper still go together like an itch and a scratch, but when Copper gets a shot at the big time with a nutty group of hound dog howlers, their purebred friendship is put to the test. Experience an irresistible adventure featuring the stellar voice talent of Reba McEntire, Patrick Swayze, and Jeff Foxworthy and bursting with original music by Trisha Yearwood, Lucas Grabeel, and many more. THE FOX AND THE HOUND 2 combines music and comedy in perfect harmony.
Developing close friendships and nurturing a positive self esteem are two major challenges along the road to growing up. In this Disney sequel to The Fox and the Hound, Tod (a young fox voiced by Jonah Bobo) and Copper (a bloodhound voiced by Harrison Fahn) are the best of friends. When Copper bemoans the fact that he can't seem to do anything right, Tod reassures him that eventually he'll find something at which he excels and invites him to the fair. Opportunity knocks when a vocal dog group called "The Singing Strays" looses its lead singer Dixie (voiced by Reba McEntire) and Copper discovers that he's a really good singer. Unfortunately, Copper's newly discovered fame leaves Tod feeling jealous and abandoned and threatens to destroy the pair's close friendship. Will a close examination of what's really important in life be enough to set things right between Tod and Copper? This engaging, 69-minute animated Disney movie features original music performed by Grammy-winning country music star Reba McEntire as well as the voice talents of Patrick Swayze and Jeff Foxworthy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the original "The Fox and the Hound", but I can still watch it and enjoy it, especially with my 3 year old niece and nephew. And believe me, we've watched it. Over...and over...and over again.
On the other hand, we've watched this money-grab sequel maybe once or twice. And now, they are DONE with it. The movie is all talk (and with a script as cliche as this one, that is NOT a good thing) and almost no action. I think the sequel's songs are a little better than the original's (the songs were always a weak point of the first one, IMHO). The vocal talent here is good as well, but these voices can't touch the original's.
The little ones enjoyed "F&H2" well enough, and they enjoyed the few extras, too (especially the Goofy cartoon). So overall, I don't feel as if I've wasted my money (I bought this dvd used for about $7.00). But I wish Disney would can it with the direct-to-video sequels to their classic films. But as long as we keep buying them, I guess they'll keep making them.
Summary:Tod and copper go to a carnival and met the singing dogs. Copper stays with them so much that tod is left out. Now tod is getting revenge. And it just might work....
This moive is so bad. At the end of the original, tod and vixty were together. This moive should have been about tod and vixty. And in the original, tod and copper were only friends for 2 days. They never been to a carnival. Also big mamma, dinky, and bommer are not in this squeal. Why?! They are important characters. If it wasn't for big mamma in the frist one,tod would have never had a home!!!!
If you want to see a good disney squeal then watch the lion king 2. It's much better then this squeal. Don't watch this moive. It's really bad. The story and every thing is bad. The original is so better!!!!
