Fox Run Pie Crust Cutter Sets

Produce themed cutouts from pie crust, fondant or gum paste using these 4-piece cutter and plunger sets. Bought this set for a holiday cookie decorating party. I used a basic, no spread sugar cookie recipe and was impressed at how easy the cookie cutters worked and how well the detail stayed after the baking. For the first few I was nervous the dough was going to get stuck in the plunger, so I used powdered sugar to coat the cutter first, however I realized this wasn’t really necessary.Considerations - I would recommend using a cookie recipe that doesn’t require frosting the cookie. Originally I thought I could do royal icing inside of the crevices, but it immediately floods and takes out the beauty in the detail. Also- these cookies are quite small relative to other cookie cutters. The great part is that you can eat 5 and not feel too guilty!
