Seriously, this was such a fun, snarky, hilarious read. It has moments of seriousness as well. I love that Fox is his actual name. I love how he calls Sophie Lollipop. And I need a support group. I think I have a Fox addiction problem. You can't end a book on a question! Does that mean there is a sequel to Fox and Sophie's story? Or will one of Sophie's friends take up the task to bring a new story and give us snippets of Henry growing to a toddler? I need answers! No fair! Actually, in all honesty, it is fair. I love the author's writing. I would definitely recommend this as a way to start reading S.M. Lumetta's work. Its the first book I am reading from this author, so of course its the one I will say. :)
1-why did we get no development in her decision to have a kid?? She goes from not thinking of them, to premenopause to im having then RIGHT NOW!
2- are these characters 28+ or 18? They talk like they are consistently on spring break. Totally non-believable dialogue. I skipped through most of it to get to the end of the book
3-why didnt we get to see her through the pregnancy? So much opportunity to create a satisfying love story. Instead by this point they're so head in heels in love, Fox wants to give her a baby. To raise together.
4-also, why was everyone so hunky-doory with her having a kid this way? I mean, she was trying to hook a tinder baby!! And her friends were on board??? No one even gave a second look when she said Fox was trying to impregnate her, wth?
5-and finally, her brother Cam and transitioning. Would have been intetesting if the story ever really referenced the transition again instead of the one time? It was like.. why even make it a part of the plot? So random.

I think the thing I struggled with most is the characters both seemed very immature to me, I understand they have been friends for a long time and therefore their banter would be light and easy but it just read like a couple of teenagers rather than people in their late 20's / early 30's.
I feel maybe I was forcing myself to read it for the wrong reasons and I may try again in the future when the right mood strikes or at least try something else the author has written.
Absolutely loved this book from the first page to the last and cant wait to read more in this series when they are released!
This book tells the story of Fox and Sophie who are life long bestfriends... early on in the story we find out that sophie has a medical issue that she needs helps with... will she be able to turn to Fox in her time of need or will he not be there for her?
This story has a huge amount of laugh out loud moments all the way through and i so love the bond that these main characters have... it also has serious and emotional times thrown in too.
Overall this is a huge well deserved 5 star read that ill recommend to everyone!
