These ultra-lightweight liners made with X-STATIC help eliminate odor in the sock. The silver coated nylon will also assist in minimizing static and regulating temperature for the life of the sock, wash after wash.

Very pleased with these and will be ordering more as they seem quite durable as well (I've been handwashing with no dryer and they dry very fast on their own).
Combine that with the price and I highly recommend these.
Added 5/25/2017: I've now ordered several pair and while I highly recommend them for comfort, fit and odor-fighting, they are easily snagged and I've noticed some threads coming free after only a few months of hiking (normally about 15 miles/week and I alternate between 3 pairs). I still love these socks but they don't appear to be as durable as I had hoped. Keep in mind I wash these as Delicate and NEVER put them in the dryer.
These seem to require extra care and be absolutely sure toenails are trimmed and smooth at all times before putting these on. I had planned on using these on an AT thru-hike but I don't see that happening with longevity seemingly an issue. I've adjusted my review to 4-stars for this reason.
(updated October 2013) Just got back from an eight day canoe / backpacking trip. By taking 2 pairs of these sock liners, I was able to use "fresh" sock liners each day (rinsing a pair at night and allowing it to dry out the following day). Because of the weather, I wound up wearing socks and boots about 16 hours every day. My feet still stayed nice and dry and odor free! One note - after about four days, I noticed that one of my ankles was getting just a little bit chafed. This could possibly be due to the way the sock liner fabric is folded inside then stitched. I never noticed that on shorter hikes. At any rate, I started wearing the sock liners inside out and the chafing had disappeared by the end of the trip.
These are great for hiking or even working in. If you have smelly shoe odors these can help with that too. There is no need to spray deodorizers or use limited use activated carbon type inserts. Just change your socks! Nice.
They do get a bit pricey when trying to get enough pairs to last a week. I do wish they were available in a bulk pack that would save more money. Otherwise I am pleased overall. Be aware the thinness and texture do take a bit to get used too. You make not like them at first. But after seeing results they may become favorites for you. You can wear a thin sock over them too.
